The Morgan City Police Department includes an administrative records division that maintains all files and statistics within the department. Records Clerk Michelle Willis has served the department in many capacities and has been serving the records division since 2012. Records Clerk Lori Landry has served as a Records Clerk since 2020. Clerk Michelle Willis and Clerk Lori Landry have both previously served in corrections with the Morgan City Police Department.
Clerk Willis and Landry maintain the records system, coordinate the exchange of reports with the appropriate agency, and assist any member of the public in various capacities. The Morgan City Police Department Records Division is available to the public daily during the week between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
How do I obtain a copy of a report?
The Morgan City Police Department's Records Section serves as the memory of the department. Reports can be obtained by contacting the records clerk of the department at 985-380-4605, or by going to the front reception desk located within the administrative building and requesting a copy of the report needed. There is a $5.00 fee per report. No cash is accepted and payment shall be in the form of a money order.
