A patrolling officer observed a vehicle in fail to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Victor II Blvd. and Myrtle Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Eric Salas. A drivers license check revealed that Salas did not have a valid driver license according to reports. Salas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

An officer responded to the intersection of Brashear Avenue at Federal Avenue in regard to a vehicle stopped in the roadway and the driver appeared to be asleep. The officer arrived and locate the above described vehicle when the officer observed that the driver appeared to be sleeping. Contact was made with the driver identified as Tyler M Daigle. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Daigle was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Daigle behavior also aroused the officer's suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana along with an open container of alcohol. Daigle was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing which Daigle refused according to reports. Daigle was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Anna Sauseda, 33 years of age, Address: Clements St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 03/04/2017 @ 7:53am. Charge: Warrant - Contempt of Court

Officers responded to the area of Federal Avenue and Brashear Avenue in regard to a report of a subject carrying a gun. The officers arrive when they located a subject matching the description later identified as Ernest S Oneal who was being irate toward the officers according to report. Reports indicate that Oneal reached into his waistband pulling out a handgun placing it on the ground. During an investigation, Oneal was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated according to reports. The location of the incident was within the area of a firearm free zone. Oneal was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of La. 70 near Veterans Blvd with window tint which appeared to be darker than the state limit of 40%. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Robert D Duplein. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that the window registered a reading of 1% and that Duplein had a suspended drivers license. Duplein was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

A traffic stop was conducted when the driver of the vehicle was identified as Christian R Quarles. A drivers license check revealed that Quarles had a suspended drivers license. Reports indicate that Quarles behavior aroused the officers suspension that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Quarles was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Driving While Intoxicated
An officer responded to the area of Hwy 182 near La. 70 in regard to a report of a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. The officer arrived and located a vehicle matching the description and observed the vehicle traveling out of its designated lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Daniel Aucoin. During a traffic investigation, reports indicated that Aucoin was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Aucoin was transported to the Morgan City Jail for further chemical testing where Aucoin submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .126 grams percent. Aucoin was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.
