Artesha S. Oliney, 28 years of age, Address- Shannon St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/29/2015 @ 2:16 pm


Charges:  Warrant: Identity Theft (27 Counts) (Totally $1, 678.00)
     The Morgan City Police Department Detective Division conducted an investigation in regards to Identity Theft.  According to reports, Artesha S. Oliney had gained  back account information and was making unauthorized purchases on the account totalling $1, 678.00.  Oliney was located at her residence, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Riley J. Dixion, 25 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2015 @ 12:19 am.


Charges:  Domestic Abuse Battery


     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Glenwood St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived, they spoke to the vicitm that stated she and her boyfriend, Riley Dixion had gotten into a verbal altercation, which later turned physical.  The vicitm showed officers an abbrasion on her arm that she claims was done by Dixion.  Officers were able to locate Dixion in the residence and he did admit to getting into an altercation with the victim.  Dixion was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kaylee Payne, 19 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2015 @ 1:57 am.


Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers were dispatched to residence on Glenwood St. in regards to a disturbance.  According to reports, when officers arrived they noticed, Kaylee Payne strike a female. Payne was then detained, so that officers could speak to the victim. The victim stated that she and Payne had gotten into a verbal alteration, in which Payne later began to strike her.  Payne was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Shawna Francois, 45 years of age, Address-Orange St. Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/27/2015 @4:02 pm.


Charge: Warrant- Attempted Theft (value $275.00)

   Morgan City Police Department detectives conducted an investigation into a stolen check, which someone attempted to cash at a local business. They identified Shawna Francois as a suspect.  Francois turned herself into detectives at the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked into the jail facility, where she was later released on bond.  The investigation is ongoing and more arrest are forthcoming.

Conley T. Jones, 65 years of age, Address-Joseph St. Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/23/2015 @ 8:54 am


Charges: Driving under suspension 
                 Unauthorized use of a Moveable
     Patrol officers investigated a complaint of a vehicle taken from residence without the owners permission.  According to reports the officers were given a description of the vehicle along with a  possible suspect.  Officers were able to locate the truck and identified the driver as Conley Jones.  Jones was found to be driving with a suspended driver's license.  The investigation reveled that Jones had removed the keys from the victims apartment and took the truck.  Jones was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains incarcerated.

Keyana Davis, 18 years of age, Address-Cardinal St. Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/23/2015@ 3:29pm.

Charges: Warrant-Contempt of Court
     Officers located Keyana Davis at her residence , Davis was placed under arrest for warrants from the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  Davis was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and later released on bond.

Kedesha Scott, 20 years of age, Address-Seventh St., Franklin,La. was arrested on 04/24/2015 @12:55 am.

Charges: Warrant-FTA(Theft of Goods Under $500.00)
                 Warrant-FTA(Simple Criminal Damage to Property)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Possession of Sch I CDS(Marijuana)
     Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department came into contact with Kedesha Scott near Idaho St.  Officers learned that Scott had outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear in the 16th Judicial District Court.  Scott was placed under arrest and during a search of her purse officers located suspected  marijuana and items believed to be drug paraphernalia.  Scott was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for incarceration.

Stephen Bias, 50 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/28/2015 @9:12am


Charge:Warrant-Attempted Theft(Value $275.00)


    Stephen Bias was arrested by Morgan City Police Department detectives during an ongoing investigation into a stolen check that was attempted to be cashed at a local business.  Bias was transported to the Morgan City Police jail facility where he remains incarcerated.  The investigation is ongoing and more arrest are expected.

Melvetra Henry, 22 years of age, Address-Ringgold, La. was arrested on 04/28/2015 @ 2:11pm

Charge:Simple Battery


     Patrol officer responded to the area of Eleventh St. due to a disturbance.  Officer located Melvetra Henry who advised that she had struck a male subject at the residence.  Henry admitted to officers that during the disturbance she struck and male subject several times.  Henry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Departmtent for booking.  Henry remains incarcerated at this time.

Kaylynn Rodriguez, 25 years of age, Address-Hwy 182, Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/28/2015@ 6:00 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Probation Violation

     Kaylynn Rodriguez was arrested by officers in the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City on warrants for Probation Violation.  Rodriguez was escorted from City Court and booked into the Morgan City jail facility. Rodriguez remains incarcerated.

Oscar Rodriguez,21 years of age, Everett St, Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/28/2015 @ 11:58 pm.   

Charges: Warrant-FTA Reckless Operation

                 Warrant-FTA No Insurance
                 Warrant-FTA No Vehicle Registration
                 Warrant-FTA Switched License Plate


       A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy 90. During that the officer identified Rodriguez as a passenger in the vehicle.  A local warrants check revealed that Rodriguez had several outstanding warrants for failing to appear in the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains incarcerated.

Kyle Rhett, 24 years of age, Address-Gen Macarthur St, Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/29/2015 @ 1:18 

Charge:Warrant-No Driver's License
       Officers on patrol located Kyle Rhett in the area of Gen MacArthur St., the officer knew that Rhett had an outstanding warrant from the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  The officer contacted Rhett and placed him under arrest.  Rhett was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jeffery Kopszywa, 36 years of age, Address-Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/29/2015 @2:23 am.

Charges: Operating a vehilce while Intoxicated
                 Red Light violation

     An officer patrolling the area of Hwy 182 near Myrtle St. observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red traffic signal.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Jeffery Kopszywa.  According to reports the officer suspected that Kopszywa had been drinking and performed a field sobriety test which he did poorly on.  Kopszywa was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was given a test on the intoxilyzer 5000 with the results of .116g%.  Kopszywa was booked into the Morgan City Police Department jail facility.

Theresa Bland, 45 years of age, Address-Morgan City,La was arrested on 04/24/2015 @ 11:20 am


Charge: Simple Battery

     Theresa Bland was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department jail facility when according to reports she struck another inmate during recreation.  Bland was booked and remains incarcerated.

Dennis Joran, 27 years of age, Address-Seventh St., Berwick,La. was arrested on 04/24/2015 at 9:24 pm.

Charges: No Drivers License
                 Improper Lane Useage
                 Switched License Plate

     An officer patrolling the area of Sixth St. near Gen MacArthur noticed a vehicle cross into his lane.  The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Dennis Joran.  During the stop the officer learned through a computer check that Joran did not have a valid driver's license and that the license plate on the vehicle had been switched.  Joran was arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department where he was later released after posting bond.

Robert Narcisse, 52 years of age,Address- Grove St., Morgan City,La. was arrested on 04/24/2015 @ 10:47 pm


Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     A patrol officer in the area of Brashear Ave and Fourth St. noticed a subject walking in the roadway.  The officers contacted the subject, later identified as Robert Narcisse and found him to be intoxicated.  Narcisse admitted to drinking and was placed under arrest.  Narcisse was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.

Christopher Polk, 26 years of age, Address-Williow St., Morgan City,La was arrestedon 04/24/2015 @ 11:35 pm


Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Improper Lane Usage

     An officer patrolling the area of Duke St. near Florida St. noticed a vehicle travel the wrong way on Florida St., which is a one way street.    The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Christpher Polk.  A check of Polk's license showed that he was driving with a suspended license. Polk was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was later released on bond.

Wendy Rhodes, 37 years of age, Slidell, La. was arrested on 04/27/2015 @  6:54 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     Officer's responded to a complaint in the Shannon Homes area about a female subject sleeping on a porch.  Officers located Wendy Rhodes and found her to be intoxicated.  Upon speaking with Rhodes believed she was at rehab.  Officers determined that Rhodes had checked herself out of a treatment center and walked to the area.  Rhodes was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she remains incarcerated.

Nikki Dupree, 31 years of age, Morgan City,La was arrested on 04/22/2015 @ 10:42 am


Charge: Warrant-Contempt of Court
     Officers located Nikki Dupree and placed her under arrest for warrants from the 16th Judical Court . Dupree was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and later released after posting bond.
