Charge: Warrant: Two Headlights Required; Warrant: Failure to Appear-No Driver License

Bryant Francois was located at LEC in Centerville, La. and arrested on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated on the outstanding warrants. 

Brittany D. Martin, 25 years of age, Address-Lizabeth Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/09/2014 @ 4:24pm

Charge: Simple Battery of a Correctional Officer

     Brittany Martin, who was being housed in the Morgan City Jail facility was arrested and charged with battery of a correctional officer after she grabbed a correctional officer in an inappropriate manner.  Murphy was booked and re-incarcerated. 

Robert W. Welter, 50 years of age, Address-Cenac Dr. Houma, La. was arrested on 05/09/2014 @ 11:05pm

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

Robert Welter was located on Martin Luther King Dr. near Highway 90 after police received a complaint of an intoxicated subject walking in the roadway.  Officers loczated Welter and discovered him to be in an impaired condition.  Welter, who refused to cooperate with officers was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Theft by Shoplifting; Warrant: Contempt of Court

     Jeremiah Aucoin was located at Lake End Park in Morgan City and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  Aucoin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Rashaud A. Thomas, 19 years of age, Address-Grace St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2014 @ 12:23am

Charge: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense; Red Light Violation; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle disregard a traffic signal in the area of East Blvd. and Highway 182 and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Rashaud Thomas was identified by the officer.  During the stop, officers located suspected marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia in Rashaud's possession.  Rashaud Thomas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Arturo L. Pedroza, 32 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2014 @ 2:18am

Charge: Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicted; No Drivers License; Improper Lane Usage

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner and stopped the vehicle in the area of Seventh St. and Brashear Ave.  The driver, Arturo Pedroza could not produce a valid drivers license and exhibited signs of impairment.  Pedroza failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.  Once at the Morgan City Police Department, Pedroza submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test, which results indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .129g%. He was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Improper Turning; No Drivers License on Person; Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information

     A patrollling officer observed a vehicle drive through private property at the intersection of Highway 182 and Myrtle St. in an attempt to avoid a traffic control device and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Raheem Colar attempted to provide the officer with a drivers license that did not belong to him in an effort to conceal his true identity.  Colar, who himself did not possess a valid drivers license was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and release after posting a cash bond.

Charge: Aggravated Battery; Engaging in a Fistic Encounter

     Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a Highway 182 apartment complex and responded.  Officers arrived and during the investigation learned that two subjects, one identified as Williiam Davis were involved in a fistic encounter which led to both subjects arming themselves with knives and a large stick.  It was alleged that William Davis armed himself with a stick, striking another subject causing injuries which required medical treatment.  Davis was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.  The identity of the second subject involved is being withheld pending a complete investigation and possible arrest.  That subject was transported to Teche Regional to be treated for injuries. 

Myron Hatch, 41 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/06/2014 @ 1:36pm

Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers investigating a domestic complaint responded to a residence located on Glenwood St. in Morgan City.  While there, officers encountered a subject identified as Myron Hatch who was observed attempting to conceal an object.  The subject was detained for officers safety and the item recovered and discovered to be a pipe used to consume illegal narcotics.  Hatch was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Corey Rogers, 37 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/06/2014 @ 7:46pm

Charge: Simple Battery (2 Counts); Resisting an Officer

Officers responded to a Bush St. residence regargind a disturbance.  During the investigation, it was learned that a subject, Corey Rogers had committed a battery on two other subjects inside the residence.  Rogers was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.  While there, the subject became combative with officers and had to be physically restrained.  He was booked and incarcerated. 

Marjorie Ruffin, 24 years of age, Address-Franklin, La. was arrested on 05/06/2014 @ 10:02pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Attempted Possession of Marijuana; Warrant: Contempt of Court

     A female, Marjorie Ruffin was transported to the Morgan City Jail facility to be housed at which time outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department were discovered.  Ruffin was booked on those warrants and incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail facility.

     Dustin Ferguson was located at his Levee Rd. residence and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant fo the Morgan City Police Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department, booked and remains incarcerated with a cash bond of $1000.00. 

Nina Morgan, 32 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2014 @ 5:40pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Judgement Rule

     Nina Morgan was located at the Morgan City Jail facility and arrested on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  She was booked and remains incarcerated.

Charge: Driving Under Suspension; Improper Display of a License Plate; Warrant: Thibodaux Police Department-Failure to Appear-No Seat Belt, Contempt of Court; Warratn: Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department-Traffic Violation

     An officer observed a vehicle with an improperly displayed license plate and stopped the vehicle in the area of Victor II Blvd. and Brashear Avenue to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Jerome Gray was discovered to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license and was placed under arrest.  A further check was made which uncovered several outstanding traffic warrants for other agencies.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Christin L. Blanchard, 26 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2014 @ 11:19pm

Charge: Warrant: Window Tint Violation; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Expired License Plate; Warrant: Failure to Appear-No Insurance

     A patrolling officer observed Christin Blanchard in the area of Highway 182 and Cottonwood St. and was aware of outstanding warrants pendign for Ms. Blanchard.  The subject was stopped, arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and remains incarcerated. 

Kirk M. Anslum, 31 years of age, Address-Badger Trail Lafayette, La. was arrested on 05/01/2014 @ 2:09am

Charge: Speeding 41/30; Resisting an Officer; Possession of a Schedule III CDS-Alprazolam (2nd Offense); POssession of Schedule II CDS-Methamphetamine (3rd Offense); Possessoin of Schedule II CDS-Vyvanse (3rd Offense); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Felony 3rd Offense

     A patrolling officer observed a speeding vehicle in the area of Brashear Ave. and Fourth St. and clocked the vehicle traveling at 41mph in a 30 mph zone.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Kirk Anslum.  During the interview, the driver appeared extremely nervous and made several attempts to reach into his pocket.  The officer conducted a safety check of the subject for weapons and during that search, the subject, Anslum admitted to officers that he had a syringe in his pocket.  The subject then pulled away and attempted to flee from the officers on foot.  Officers pursued the subject and eventually utilized a Taser, incapacitating the subject at which time he was placed under arrest.  The subject, Kirk Anslum was also found to possess a Schedule III CDS-Alprazolam, Schedule II CDS-Methamphetamine and Vyvanse as well as drug paraphernalia.  Anlsum, who was found to have several arrests for narcotics violations was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.

Joseph P. Percle, 27 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/07/2014 @ 9:33am

Charge: Warrant: Aggravated Assault Domestic Abuse; Disturbing the Peace

     A patrolling officer located Joseph Percle on Highway 90 and placed him under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  The warrant stemmed from an incident at a Highway 182 apartment complex reported to the Morgan City Police Department in which Percle was alleged to have attempted to attack a subject during a domestic dispute with a knife.  The other subject, William Davis had previously been arrested and charged in the incident.  Joseph Percle, according to investigative reports was injured in the incident after being struck with a stick and received medical treatment.  He was arrested, transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.  There are no other arrests expected.

Charge: Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information; Stop Sign Violation; Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign in the area of Onstead St. and Federal Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Albert Soto attempted to conceal his true identity from officers.  The officer was able to obtain his true identity and learned that Soto was operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. He was arrested.  A passenger in the vehicle, Tyler J. Aucoin was found to be in possession of a Schedule I CDS-Marijuana and was also arrested.  Both were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerted. 

Michael L. Guidry, 45 years of age, Address-Willard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/07/2014 @ 11:22pm

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated; Failure to Signal Turn

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle failing to signal a turn in the area of Willard St. and Seventh St. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Michael Guidry was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  He was arrested.  Guidry, who exhibited signs of impairment was given a field sobriety test in which he failed.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test results being .209g%.  He was booked and incarcerated. 

Robert L. Mulligan, 61 years of age, Address-Amelia, La. was arrested on 05/08/2014 @ 3:47am

An officer observed Robert Mulligan in the area of Ditch Ave. and was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  Mulligan was detained and placed under arrest on the outstanding warrants.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Myrtle St. and Highway 182 in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived, a Berwick Police Officer, who was already on the scene advised that he had witnessed a vehicle being driven in a wreckless manner suddenly stop at whcih time the front seat passenger then reached around, striking a female subject who was seated in the back seat.  The subject was detained until officers arrived.  The suspect was identified as Carlven Chapman.  The female victim was found to be seated next to a small child who was restrained in the rear seat at the time of the assault.  Chapman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Natasha Bergeron was located at the Patterson Police Department where she was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked into the jail facility there.  

Mark A. Eugene, 49 years of age, Address-Terrebone St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/02/2014 @ 6:24pm

Charge: Criminal Trespassing

     The Morgan City Police Department received information that Mark Eugene was trespassing on Housing Authority property near Terrebone St.  Eugene, who had been previously barred from entering onto Federal Housing Authority Property was located inside the area, he was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Sandra L. Shackleford, 44 years of age, Address-Wedell St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 05/02/2014 @ 9:59pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicted; Resisting an Officer; Warrant-Assumption Parish-Failure to Appear for Driving While Intoxicated

     Officers were dispatched to a Chester Bowles address regarding a disturbance.  When officers arrived they encountered two females involved in an arguement.  While trying to investigate the incident, Shackleford, who appeared intoxicated began to use loud, profane and abusive language.  She refused to calm and comply with officers instructions to cease.  As officers attempted to place Shackleford under arrest, she began to physically resist and had to be restrained.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she refused to comply and had to be physically restrained to be placed in a holding cell until she could be processed.  Sandra Shackleford was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

Adam W. Roy, 27 years of age, Address-Onstead St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/03/2014 @ 3:20am

Charge: Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information; Warrant: St. Mary Sheriff's Department-Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family; Warrant: Patterson Police Department-Failure to Appear-Speeding; No Driver's License on Person

     Officers  patrolling the area of Highway 182 stopped a vehicle near Seventh St. and Brashear Ave. for improper equipment.  The driver, Adam Roy admittedly made attempts to conceal his true identity to officers.  It was discovered that Roy was wanted on outstanding warrants for other agencies.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 Alfonso Reyes, 28 years of age, Address-Halsey St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/03/2014 @ 12:25pm

Charge: Hit & Run Driving; Careless Operation; Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle crash near the intersection of Myrtle St. and Railroad Ave. observed a vehicle crash.  One of the vehicles began to leave the scene.  The officer summoned assistance, checking on the remaining vehicle and it's occupants.  The officer then pursued the vehicle as it left the scene.  The driver refused to yield to the emergency vehicle and a short pursuit ensued.  The vehicle became disabled as a result of damages sustained in the accident.  The driver, who refused to exit his vehicle was removed and detained.  He was identified as Alfonso Reyes.  Reyes was arrested and handcuffed.  A passenger in the vehicle, who was uninjured was also detained during the investigation.  Officers located an open container of alcoholic beverage inside the subjects vehicle.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  There were no major injuries in the accident.  The subject was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Improper Display of License Plate; Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle; Warrant: St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office-Failure to Appear for Trial (Two Counts)

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting in the area of Seventh St. near Florence and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as Joshua Naverro was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department.  He was also found to be in possession of alcoholic beverage in his motor vehicle.  He was arrested transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Primos H. Ross Jr, 58 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/04/2014 @ 12:13am

Charge: Battery on a Police Officer; Resisting an Officer; Warrant: East Baton Rouge-Felony Theft, Monetary Instrument Abuse, Warrant: Morgan City Police Department-Failure to Pay  Fine; Failure to Pay Probation Fee; Probation Violation

     Officers were dispatched to a Railroad Ave. regarding a disturance.  As officers arrived, they encountered a subject, Primos Ross who was wanted on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  Officers attempted to place Ross under arrest on the warrants.  During the arrest, Ross became combative and unruly, kicking an officer.  Ross was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for East Baton Rouge Parish.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was placed in a holding cell due to his combative nature.  He remains incarcerated. 

Lisa Jones, 51 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/04/2014 @ 10:04am

Charge: Simple Battery

     Officers responded to a complaint of a female in the area of a Highway 182 lounge who was soliciting others in an act of prostitution.  Officers arrived and were advised that the female had fled the scene.  The description of the female was given and the female located and identified as Lisa Jones.  In the investigation, it was learned that the female shoved the complainant and fled the area.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

     Christa Naquin turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department where officers booked her on an outstanding warrant.  She was booked and released after posting a cash bond.

Charge: Theft of Goods (Value $10.81)

     An officer working security at a Highway 182 supermarket observed a female conceal items valued at $10.81, leaving the store without paying for the items.  The female was detained outside the store and detained.  The items were recovered.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she waas booked and incarcerated.

Russell Walker Jr., 29 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/29/2014 @ 11:23pm

Charge: Possession of Crack Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Illegal Use of Controlled Drug of persons Under the age of 17 years of age, Transactions involving Proceeds from CDS Activity

     Detectives with the Narcotics Division conducting an investigation into the sales of illegal narcotics at an Egle St. residence secured a search warrant during the investigation.  A search warrant was conducted at the residence which uncovered suspected crack cocaine and a scale commonly used in narcotics trafficking.  Detectives also recovered over $800.00 in cash which was believed to be derived from the sales.  The suspect, Russell Walker was located in the residence along with several juveniles.  Evidence was uncovered which indicated Walker was responsible for the sale of illegal narcotics from the residence.  Russell Walker Jr. was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Warrant: East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Department-Theft of Goods

     A patrolling officer detained a vehicle and it's driver near the intersection of Front St. and Egle St. after the vehicle was observed with an improperly displayed license plate.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Brooklyn Carter who was discovered to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Department.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was incarcerated pending transfer to East Baton Rouge authorities. 

James Parker Jr. , 64 years of age, Address-501 Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2014 @ 2:03am

charge: Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Detectives with the Narcotics Division of the Morgan City Police Department, while conducting an investigation into the possession of illegal narcotics at a Roderick St. residence went to the residence to investigate.  While there, detectives located James Parker. During a consented search of the residence, detectives located a large celophane bag which contained suspected marijuana.  Parker denied knowledge of the substance, saying that he was a crack cocaine user only.  The suspected marijuana along with items of drug paraphernalia were seized and Parker arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Branshekia Harris, 26 years of age, Address-Orange St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2014 @ 3:17am

Charge: Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information; Warrant: St. Mary Sheriff's Department-Failure to Appear-Theft of Goods

     An officer detained a vehicle and it's driver in the area of Brashear Ave. and Federal Ave.  Upon coming into contact with the driver and a passenger who identified herself as Shandice Harris.  The officer, supicious that the subject was attempting to conceal her true identity was able to identify the subject as Branishekia Harris who was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant the the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Departement.  Harris was arrested and transported to the Morgan Ctiy Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
