Leonard Yarborough was located at the Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Courtland J. Francois, 22years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/13/2014 @ 9:49pm

Charge: Tail Lamps Required; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine

An Morgan City Police Officer patrolling the area of Everette St. and Seventh St. stopped a vehicle after it was observed not to have functioning tail lamps.  The officer made contact with the driver, identified as Courtland Francois.  During the stop, officers gathered evidence to suggest that the subjects may be in possession of illegal narcotics.  During the investigation, a search was conducted of the vehicle at which time investigators discovered suspected crack cocaine, and suspected marijuana;both controlled substances. Francois admitted possesison of the items and was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; No Driver License; Failure to Signal Turn; Warrant: East Baton Rouge Parish-Failure to Appear-Simple Burglary

A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Sixth St. and Gen MacArthur St.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as Joseph Johnson could not produce a valid Louisiana Drivers LIcense.  It was discovered that Johnson was a wanted person from East Baton Rouge Parish.  He was detained and placed under arrest.  During the stop, officers uncovered suspected marijuana from the vehicle and began to question the occupant.  One passenger, Heidi Miller was found to possess a cellophane bag which contained suspected marijuana as well as several pills identified as Alprazolam.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Arrest Report 03/12/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 03/11/2014:

 

Jason L. Crews, 30 years of age, Address-Amelia, La. was arrested on 03/11/2014 @ 6:48pm

Charge: Attempted Unauthorized Entry into an Inhabited Dwelling; Criminal Trespass

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Lake Palourde Drive in Morgan City in regards to a suspicious subject looking into windows of residences.  Officers arrived and learned from a resident that they had went to investigate dogs barking at their residence and located a hispanic male peeking into the window of the residence and attempting to gain entry into a rear door.  The homeowner confronted the subject who then left the premises.  Officers searched the area and located the subject in question, identified as Jason Crews.  He was postively identified and placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated with no bond yet set. 

 

     A 15 year old male juvenile was arrested on 03/11/2014 @ 7:48am in the area of Sandra St. after officers received a complaint that the juvenile was being uncontrollable and refusing to attend school.  the juvenile fled from the residence through a rear window and was later located on Sandra St.  He was placed under arrest  and charged with Uncontrollable Juvenile and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released to parent until court proceedings. 

 

     A 17 year old male subject was arrested on 03/10/2014 @ 2:30pm for an outstanding warrant for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things under $500.00.  The subject was arrested after officers were dispatched to a Railroad Avenue residence for a disturbance.  The male subject who was reportedly involved in the disturbance was located and found to be wanted for an outstanding warrant for an alleged theft of a cell phone from another student at the Morgan City High School.  The subject, who was a juvenile at the time of the incident was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released to guardian pending court proceedings.

Rasheika Nash was booked into the Morgan City Jail facility and released after she turned herself in on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  

 

Barron F. Kenner, 40 years of age, Address-First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/05/2014 @ 6:15pm

Charge: Warrants: Terrebone Parish Sheriffs Department-Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription; Possession of Schedule I CDS with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;Transactions involving proceeds from CDS Activity; Resisting an Officer

Barron Kenner 03052014

Barron Kenner, who is incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility in regards to a shooting which occurred in Morgan City around October 0f 2013 was re-booked on outstanding warrants for the Terrebone Parish Sheriff's Department.  Kenner was  initially located in the Houma area by investigators with the Morgan City Police Department and Terrebone Parish Narcotics Detectives.  During his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance as well as items of parpahernalia.  Terrebone Parish investigators secured a warrant for those items.  Kenner was booked and remains incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility. The bond on these outstanding warrants was set at $303,500.00 by a Terrebone Parish Judge. 

 

Claudia Johnson, 50 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/05/2014 @ 10:56pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Officers were dispatched to a Railroad Avenue residence in regards to a disturbance.  Officers located Claudia Johnson at that residence in an apparent impaired condition.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Dwayne J. Hebert, 30 years of age, Address-Sulphur, La. was arrested on 03/06/2014 @ 12:46am

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense; Open Container of Alcohol in a Moving Vehicle

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Allison St. in regards to a vehicle being driven in a wreckless manner.  Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle at Justa St. and Allison St. and found to driver, Dwayne Hebert in an impaired condition.  The subject, Hebert was found to be in possession of alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.  According to reports, due to his demeanor and level of impairment, he was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .307g%.  Hebert was transported to Teche Regional for observation as a result of his high blood alcohol content.  He was released and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Schedule III CDS; Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law; Illegal Use of Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of Persons Under the Age of 17; Warrant: Morgan City Police-Allowing Dogs to Roam

Both Dantrell Carter and Shakeitia Franklin were arrested after investigators with the Morgan City Police Department with assistance from the Terrebone Parish Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at a Brashear Ave. residence in Morgan City.  The warrant was secured during an investigation into illegal narcotics activity.   Upon executing the search warrant, Dontrell Carter attempted to escape from the residence and flee from the scene and was quickly apprahended.  He was found to be in possession of marijuana, a Schedule I CDS.  Upon a further search of the residence, Shakeita Francis also located inside along with additional Schedule I CDS-Marijuana and items of paraphernalia;  The marijuana was in such packaging to indicate possession for sale.  Officers located several pills of Hydrocodone, a Schedule III CDS.  Several small children were located within the residence and released to relatives.  The residence located on Brashear Avenue was within a 1000 ft. of school property therefore the subjects were additionally charged.  Detectives also discovered monies which were beleived derived from the sale of narcotics from the residence.  Dantrell Carter was wanted for a warrant from the Sixteenth Judicial Court for failure to Appear and is being held without bond on that warrant.  His bond, along with the bond of Shakeita Franklin was set at $300.000.  They remain incarcerated.

Arrest Report 03/13/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 03/12/2014:

 

Victoria Sibley, 22 years of age, Address-Franklin, La. was arrested on 03/12/2014 @ 10:36am

Charge: Hold for St. Mary S.O.; Warrant: Failure to pay Restitution

    Victoria Sibley was transported to the Morgan City Jail facility to be house for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department.  It was discovered that Sibley was wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  She was booked and incarcerated.

 

Andrew R. Aucoin, 72 years of age, Address-Bowman St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/12/2014 @ 11:42am

Charge: Warrant: Aggravated Rape (2 Counts); Aggravated Incest (2 Counts); Oral Sexual Battery (2 Counts)

     Andrew R. Aucoin was arrested on warrants related to an investigation by Detectives of the Morgan City Police Department.  In that investigation, it is alleged that Aucoin had inappropriate sexual contact with two seperate female victims who were between 6 years and 8 years old at the time of the offenses.  The victims eventually reported the incidents to an adult who in turn, contacted authorities at which time the investigation began in October 2013.  Detectives located Aucoin and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department where he was placed under arrest and booked.  He remains incarcerated with no bond yet set. 

 

Matthew J. Miller, 20 years of age, Address-Gen. Clark Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/13/2014 @ 12:06am

Charge: Theft (Under $300.00); Warrant: Probation Violation

A patrolling officer observed Matthew Miller near a Brashear Ave. pharmacy.  The officer was aware of outstanding warrants for Miller and detained him.  He was placed under arrest on the warrant.  Upon searching the suspect, the officer discovered that Miller was in possession of items valued at $8.65 which the officer discovered that Miller had just allegedly stolen from the pharmacy.  Miller was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Create/Operate a Clandestine Laboratory for the Unlawful Manufacture of CDS; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Methadone; Possession of Schedule IV CDS-Xanax

       Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department received information regarding the location of David Mire who was wanted on outstanding warrants stemming from an alleged incident in February 2014 which a clandestine lab was located in the area of Sixth St.  Detectives identified Mire as the suspect in that incident and secured a warrant for his arrest.  Mire, who had been featured in the areas "Most Wanted" feature had eluded police since that incident.  Narcotics investigators were able to locate Mire at a residence located in the 300 Block of Fifth St. in Morgan City.  Mire at the time of his arrest was found to be in the accompany of two other subjects, Eddie Mayfield and Tiffany Chauvin who according to reports, were in the process of operating a clandestine lab to manufacture Methamphetamine, a controlled dangerous substance.  Detectives detained ths suspects and secured the area.  Due to the hazardous environment, a crew was summoned to the residence to perform a clean up of the hazardous materials.  The subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and remain incarcerated.  Chauvin, was also found to possess Methadone and Xanax, both controlled substances.  They remain incarcerated with no bond yet set.

Charge: Theft Under $300.00; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Diazepam; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone

     Officers were dispatched to a Hwy 182 pharmacy in regards to a shoplifter.  Officers arrived and were directed to a female, Natasha Garner.  During the investigation, it was learned that Garner concealed items valued at $34.73 in her handbag without paying for the items.  Garner was also found to be in possession of several pills of Diazepam and Hydrocodone, a Schedule III CDS.  She was arrested, transported to the Morgan City Police Departmetn where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Amanda Bordelon, 29 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/07/2014 @ 9:31pm

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; Two Headlight Required

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting in the area of Highway 182 and Ditch Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Amanda Bordelon was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and released after posting a cash bond. 

 

Brandon L. Boudreaux, 28 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/07/2014 @ 10:35am

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Synthetic Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Appearing in an Intoxicated Condition

     A patrolling officer observed a subject in an impaired condition walking in the area of Brashear Ave. and Federal Ave. and stopped the subject to investigate.  The subject, Brandon Boudreaux was found to be impaired and unsteady on his feet.  He was found to be in possession of a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics.  He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of synthetic marijuana.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a suspicous subject in the arear of Front St. near Brashear Ave.  The subject was detained and identified as Anthony Harris. It was discovered that Harris was wanted on an outstanging warrant for the 16th Judicial District Court for Failure to Appear.  Harris was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer detained a vehicle in regards to a traffic violation observed in the area of Pine St.  The passenger in the vehicle, who initially used a false name to identify herself was identified as Shina Short who was found to be wanted on several outstanding warrants.  Short was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Joshua J. Kinkle, 19 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/08/2014 @ 10:29pm

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated; Reckless Operation of a Moveable; Possession of Acloholic  Beverage in a Vehicle

Officers received a complaint in regards to a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner and on flat tires in the area of Maple St.  An officer located the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle.   The vehicle continued to drive on flat tires until the driver finally stopped on Victor II Blvd.  The driver, Joshua Kinkle was found to possess alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.  The subject, Kinkle submitted to a field sobriety test in which he did poorly on.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test results being .147g%.  The subject was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace; Remaining after being Forbid

The Morgan City Police Department was summoned to Teche Regional Hospital in regards to a subject refusing to leave the premises.  Officers arrived and were directed to a subject, Robert Jenne Jr. who refused to leave the premises when asked by security and continued to cause a disturbance.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Poilce Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Bobby L. Seely Jr., 39 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/09/2014 @ 4:04am

Charge: Warrants: Failure to Appear-Improper Lane Usage; Failure to Signal, No License Plate Light; No Driver License; No Insurance; Warrant: Lafourche Parish -Contempt of Court; Resisting by Giving False Information

Officers were dispatched to the Waffle House in regards to a large crowd. When officers arrived, they came into contact with a subject known to officers as Bobby Seely who was wanted on several outstanding warrants.  When offices questioned the subject, he gave a false name to officers to hide his true identity.  He was ultimately identified as Seely and placed under arrest on the outstanding warrants as well as a warrant for Lafourche Parish.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Rebecca B. Martin, 42 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/09/2014 @ 11:20pm

A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Brashear Ave. and Fourth St. after it was observed with improper lighting.  The driver, Elmer Hernandez was found to be operating a vehicle with no drivers license nor liability insurance as required. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Melissa Evans was located near the intersection of Martin Luther King and Victor II Blvd. and placed under arrest on an oustanding warrant which was secured after investigators began an investigation in January 2014 of a narcotics complaint at a local motel.  In that investigation, items were recovered inside a motel room in which Evans was residing.  The substances were seized and analyzed and a warrant obtained.  Evans was transported to the Morgan City Police jail facility where she remains incarcerated.

Shantell Thomas was transported to the Morgan City Police Jail facility to be housed for the St. Mary Sheriffs Department.  It was discovered that she was wanted on several outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  She was booked on those warrants as well as an oustanding warrant for failure to appear in Lafourche Parish on narcotics violations.  She was booked and incarcerated.

Officers responded to a complaint of a domestic disturbance at a Patton St. residence and located Gary Barrios and Arne Brewer.  During the complaint, it was learned that Brewer had committed a battery on a male companion at the residence causing minor injuries.  It was also learned that Arne Brewer was wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  She was arrested.  The male subject, Gary Barrios was found to be in possession of items of drug paraphernalia and was also placed under arrest.  Both were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
