Torrey A. Barthell, 26 years of age, Address- Jacksonville, FL was arrested on 08/22/2018 @ 3:27 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1^st Offense

   Officers responded to the area of LA Hwy 182 and Pecos St. in regards to a single vehicle crash. When officers arrived contact was made with the driver, Torrey Barthell. Barthell was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Barthell stated that he hit a curb, while heading eastbound on LA Hwy 182 . Reports also indicate that the officer could smell an odor of alcohol emitting from Barthell’s breath. Barthell was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he performed poorly. Barthell was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, he submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Barthell’s results yield a .172g% blood alcohol content. Barthell was booked and incarcerated.

Damian S. Brown, 35 years of age, Address- Foryune St. Berwick, La. was arrest on 08/22/2018 @ 8:00 am.

Charge:  Warrant- Stalking

   Damian Brown was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the department. The warrant stems from an incident in September 2017 where Brown is alleged to have repeatedly followed and harassed an individual. Brown was booked and incarcerated.

Roderick Voisin, 40 years of age, Address- Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/23/2018 @ 12:00 am.

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery- Child Endangerment Law

   Officers responded to a residence on Front St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with the victim. According to reports, the victim stated that she and her husband, Roderick Voisin had gotten into a verbal altercation which later turned physical. Officers collected evidence that was constant with the victim’s statements. Also, there were two small children inside the home. Officers located Voisin in one of the bedroom closets and placed him under arrest. Voisin transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Charge: Warrant- Criminal Mischief- Filing False Complaint

   Tara Oubre was located in the area of Sixth St. and Brashear Ave and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in May where Oubre filed a complaint. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the complaint was false. Oubre was transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

George A. Ribardi, 27 years of age, Address- N. Third St. Morgan City, La. Was arrested on 08/16/2018 @ 9:43 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Violation of a Protective Order

   George Ribardi was stopped by an officer for a traffic violation in the area of LA Hwy 182 and Brashear Ave. A warrant check revealed that Ribardi held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in April that alleges Ribardi violated a protective order by contacting the victim via text messages. Ribardi was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

Amanda R. Thibodeaux, 27 years of age, Address- Wedell St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 08/16/2018 @ 11:36 pm.

   Officers responded to a local motel on LA Hwy 182 in regards to an individual at the location who possibly holds warrants for another agency. Officers made contact with the individual identified as Amanda Thibodeaux. It was determined that Thibodeaux held active warrants for the Kaplan Police Department. Thibodeaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

Oscanique Toups, 21 years of age, Address- Friendship Ally Amelia, La. was arrested on 08/21/2018 @ 6:43 pm.

               Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines

   Officers responded to a residence on Chennault St. in regards to a disturbance that had taken place earlier on Egle St. Officers arrived and made contact with the suspects involved identified as Dmarcus Holly and Oscanique Toups. According to reports, the victim stated that she was at a residence on Egle St. when Holly and Toups committed a battery on her. While officers were investigating the incident, Raven Griffin, who was also at the residence began yelling profanities.  A warrant check determined that Toups held an active warrant for the 6^th Ward City Court. Griffin, Holly and Toups were all placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

Alfred Johnson, 53 years of age, Address- Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 08/21/2018 @ 9:34 pm.

Charge:  Possession of a Legend Drug

   Officers responded to a local business on Fifth St. in regards to two individuals using illegal narcotics inside the business. When officers arrived, the subjects had already left the business. However, a description of them were given to officers.  Officers located the individuals on Freret St. and they were identified as Odie Nadar and Alfred Johnson.  Reports indicate that both denied using illegal narcotics. A warrant check revealed that Nadar held active warrants for the 16^th Judicial District Court and 6^th Ward City Court. Johnson also had in his possession pills identified as hydroxyzine hydrochloride for which he did not have a prescription. Nadar and Johnson were both placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

      A patrol officer in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. observed a vehicle cross the center line several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Don Bennett was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, the officer could smell the odor of alcohol emitting from Bennett’s breath. Bennett was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. The officer also observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle.  Bennett was placed under arrest and transported the Morgan City Police Department. Bennett arrived at the police department and submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Bennett’s results yielded a .212g% blood alcohol content. Bennett was booked and incarcerated.

   A patrol officer in the area of David Dr. and LA 182 observed a vehicle that was swerving in and out the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jude Resignola was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Resignola appeared intoxicated. Resignola was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Resignola was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Resignola submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded a .173 g % of blood alcohol content. Resignola was booked and incarcerated.

Jeffery L. Hagen, 56 years of age, Address- Plaquemine, La. was arrested on 08/17/2018 @ 11:39 pm.

   Officers responded to the area of LA Hwy 70 in regards to an 18 wheeler speeding in the area. Officers located the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver identified as Jeffery Hagen was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that the officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from Hagen’s breath. Hagen was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he performed poorly. Hagen was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Hagen submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and yielded a result of .200 g % blood alcohol content. Hagen was booked and incarcerated.

    A patrol officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Eleventh St. observed a vehicle swerving in and out the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Arnold Mosley was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Mosely’s license was under suspension. According to reports, Mosely appeared intoxicated.  Mosely was asked to perform the Standard Field Sobriety Test, but refused. Mosely was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Mosely submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded a .157 g % blood alcohol content. Mosely was booked and incarcerated.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Malaysia Ruffin was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Ruffin’s driver’s license was suspended. It was also determined that Ruffin held an active warrant with the Berwick Police Department. Ruffin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

The driver of the vehicle identified as Obatiye Dent was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that the officer could smell an odor of alcohol emitting from Dent’s breath. Dent was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he performed poorly. Dent was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Dent submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded a .224 g % blood alcohol content. Dent was booked and incarcerated.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Christopher Walker was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, while talking to officers, Walker pulled out a small baggie of suspected marijuana from his pants pocket. Walker was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

       A patrol officer in the area of Sixth and Bowman St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jesus Barrientos was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Barrientos did not have a driver’s license. Reports indicate that Barrientos appeared intoxicated. Barrientos was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Barrientos was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Barrientos submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and yielded a result of .146 g % blood alcohol content. Barrientos was booked and incarcerated.

   Officers responded to a residence on Onstead St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, Joseph Hart was identified as a suspect. According to reports, the victim and Hart had gotten into a verbal altercation which escalated when Hart allegedly pushed the victim through a glass window and then began striking the victim with a wooden object. The victim was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Hart was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

   Officers responded to US Hwy 90 near the Martin Luther King exit in regards to a single vehicle crash. Officers arrived and made contact with the driver, Teddy Rodas. According to reports, Rodas was traveling in the left lane, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the guard rail. Rodas suffered no injuries from the crash. Rodas was asked to produce a valid driver’s license, but it was determined that his license was suspended. There was also no insurance on the vehicle or proper registration. Rodas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.

Reports indicate that the officer could smell an odor of alcohol emitting from Fluker’s breath. Fluker was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he performed poorly. Fluker was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Fluker submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded a .096 g % blood alcohol content. Fluker was booked and incarcerated.

   Brittney Crouch was located in the area of Florence St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident on August 3, 2018, which alleges that Crouch was in an intoxicated state and a five year old child in her custody was able to leave the residence and wander the neighborhood. Crouch was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
