During the early morning hours of July 6, 2021, Officers of the Morgan City Police Department responded to several calls of an individual randomly walking through private property and was captured on several residential surveillance systems in Lakeside Subdivision.

One of the responding officers observed Anthony Terrell Dixon walking on Highway 182 who possibly fit the description. A warrant check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and was a person of interest in the individual trespassing in Lakeside Subdivision.

The footage from Lakeside Subdivision was released on social media, and the individual was positively identified as Anthony T. Dixion. An arrest warrant for Dixon was obtained by Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department. Dixion was additionally booked on the new charges. The investigation is still ongoing, and further charges could be filed.

Officers responded to a residence on Marshall St. in regards to burglary in progress. Officers arrived and were able to subdue two individuals that were seen running from the residence. Officers were able to identify the individuals as Callen Richard and Brennan Tatum. Tatum was found to be in possession of a firearm when searched by officers.  According to reports, the two individuals forced their way into the home and demanded money from the victim. The victim did sustain minor injuries and was transported to medical facility for treatment. Richard and Tatum were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
