MCPD Arrest Report 10/11/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 28 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/10/2017:
Deirdre L. Martin, 43 years of age, address: Prarie Rd. Franklin, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 2:23 p.m.
Charges: Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling

Elizabeth Toups, 33 years of age, address: Halsey St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 2:23 p.m.
Charges: Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling
Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of Fourth St. in regards to subjects being inside of a residence and the homeowner was not there. Officers arrived and according to reports, Deirdre L. Martin and Elizabeth Toups were located at the residence. Contact was made with the homeowner when it was found that the duo did not have permission to be in the residence. Martin and Toups were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
James P. Anslem, 23 years of age, address: Bush St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 4:03 p.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Tyler Dehart, 23 years of age, address: Union St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 4:03 p.m.
Charges: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports, James P. Anslem and Tyler Dehart were identified as two of the subjects involved. During the investigation, Anslem was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia and Dehart was found to be in possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Anslem and Dehart were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Deonte D. Harris, 20 years of age, address: Lake Palourde Rd. Amelia, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 4:30 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 09/26/2017
Deonte D. Harris was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Harris was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of SCH II CDS (Hydrocodone)
Warrant: Possession of SCH IV (Diazepam)
Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Crystal Thompson was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on August 20, 2017, when Thompson was found to be in possession of suspected Hydrocodone, Diazepam, and Drug Paraphernalia. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Thompson’s arrest. Thompson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Abram M. Granger Jr., address: Apple St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/11/2017 @ 1:31 a.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana

No Driver’s License
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. and one of the occupants of the vehicle was not properly restrained. A stop was initiated and Abram M. Granger Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Granger Jr. did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. He was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Granger Jr. was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated
