MCPD Arrest Report 10/24/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 42 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/23/2017:

Cheyenne H. Aucoin, 23 years of age, address: Main St. Franklin, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 9:00 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Cheyenne H. Aucoin was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Aucoin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Christopher Sylvester, 21 years of age, address: Short St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 9:27 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Christopher Sylvester was located and arrested in the area of Mallard St. on an active arrest warrant through the Louisiana Probation and Parole. Sylvester was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joshua A. Falgout, 38 years of age, address: Sycamore St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 10:13 a.m.

Charges: F.T.A. for Trial on 08/17/2017

Joshua A. Falgout was located and arrested at the George County Correctional Center in Lucedale, Mississippi on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Falgout was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Brian H. Henderson, 34 years of age, address: Utah St. Berwick, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 7:35 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Flight from an Officer
                 Driving under Suspension
                 Improper Lane Usage

Joseph Cagnolatti, 22 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 7:35 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner crossing the center line into the opposing lane of travel in the area of LA 182. Investigators attempted to initiate a stop at which time the vehicle crossed into Berwick failing to stop. The vehicle came to a stop on Utah St. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Brian H Henderson. Joseph Cagnolatti was an occupant in the vehicle. According to reports, Henderson’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. The duo was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Henderson and Cagnolatti were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Lori F. Thibodeaux, 34 years of age, address: Southland Circle Houma, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 9:39 p.m.

Charges: Prostitution-Solicitation

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division received information in regards to prostitution in the Morgan City Area. During the investigation, Lori F. Thibodeaux was identified as a suspect. According to reports, evidence was uncovered linking Thibodeaux to prostitution. Thibodeaux agreed to meet investigators at a local hotel in the Morgan City Area. Thibodeaux was taken into custody in the area of MLK Blvd. Thibodeaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Chris M. Smith Jr., 32 years of age, address: Shivers St. Patterson, La., arrested on 10/24/2017 @ 2:16 a.m.

Charges:  Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                  False Representation of a CDS
                  Aggravated Flight from an Officer
                  Aggravated Obstruction of a Hwy Commerce
                  Improper Lane Usage
                  Disregard of Traffic Control
                  Improper Turning
                  Speeding
                  Warrant: Parole Violation

Christian Busienlle 10242017

Christian E. Businelle, 20 years of age, address: Versen St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/24/2017 @ 2:16 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 False Representation of a CDS
                 Obstruction of Justice

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. in an erratic manner crossing the center line into the opposing lane of travel. According to reports, officers attempted to initiate a stop at which time the vehicle fled from officers. The vehicle crossed over the LA 182 Bridge into Berwick at speeds much higher than the posted speed limit. The vehicle traveled west onto US 90 at dangerous speeds causing vehicles off the roadway,  disregarding traffic controls and negotiating improper turns. The vehicle entered upon LA 317 in the Centerville area and turned into an apartment complex in the area. The vehicle then attempted to exit the complex striking a stop sign coming to a stop. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted with the stop. Two subjects were taken into custody. Chris M. Smith Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle and Christian E. Businelle was identified as an occupant. Reports indicate that Smith and Businelle were found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and suspected rock salt which was purported to be Methamphetamine. Evidence was also uncovered that Businelle destroyed suspected marijuana during the investigation. Smith was found to have an active arrest warrant through the Louisiana Probation and Parole. Smith and Businelle were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
