MCPD Arrest Report 11/16/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 30 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 11/15/2017:
Nicholas A. Breaux, 39 years of age, Address- Family St. Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 11/15/2017 @ 6:35 am.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines 6cts
Nicholas Breaux was located in the area of Hwy 182 and Cottonwood St. It was determined that Breaux held active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court. Breaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Rochela Williams, 41 years of age, Address- Kentucky St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/15/2017 @ 11:27 am.
Charge: Theft under $1000.00
Officers responded to a residence on Fifth St. regarding a theft. Rochela Williams was determined to be the suspect in the incident for allegedly taking the victim’s wallet. Williams was located and reports indicate that Williams admitted to the theft. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jimmy L. Daigle, 44 years of age, Address- Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/15/2017 @ 11:49 am.
Charge: Possession of Sch II CDS Methamphetamine

Improper Lane Usage
No Driver’s License on Person
A patrol officer observed a vehicle in the area of Sixth St. and Gen. McArthur cross the center line of the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Jimmy Daigle. It was determined that Daigle did not have his driver’s license in his possession and there was no insurance on the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, Daigle was found to have suspected methamphetamine on his person. Daigle was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Bridget P. Jankowski, 38 years of age, Address-Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/15/2017 @ 9:46 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees
Warrant- Probation Violation
Warrant- Contempt of Court
Bridget Jankowski was located in the area of Fifth St. and Brashear Ave. It was determined that Jankowski held active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court. Jankowski was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jack Phillips, 64 years of age, Address- Maine St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/15/2017 11:43 pm.
Charge: No Headlights
No Insurance
Warrant- Domestic Abuse Battery
A patrol officer observed a vehicle in the area of Hwy 182 and Everett St. with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Jack Phillips. It was determined that Phillips’ vehicle did not have valid insurance. Also, a warrant check revealed that Phillips held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in May of 2017, which alleges Phillips involvement in a domestic dispute. Phillips was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
