MCPD Arrest Report 11/20/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 107 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 11/17/2017:


Juan C. Santos, 17 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La was arrested on 11/17/2017 @ 9:05 am.

Charge:  Theft under $1000.00

   Officers responded to a local high school in regards to a theft. Through security footage, Juan Santos was developed as a suspect. According to reports, Santos was located by school officials and admitted to taking the item. Santos was placed under arrest and transported the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Bryan K. Faulk, 33 years of age, Address- Village Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/17/2017 3:05 pm.

Charge:  Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines

   Bryan Faulk was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Faulk was booked and incarcerated.


Zacolby Granger, 25 years of age, Address- Grace St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/17/2017 @ 9:53 pm.

Charge:  Stop Sign Violation
               Driving Under Suspension
                Possession of Marijuana

   A patrol officer in the area of Second St. and Brashear Ave, observed a vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Zacolby Granger. A computer check revealed that Granger’s driver’s license was suspended. The officer also located suspected marijuana in Granger’s possession. Granger was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Gersson S. Viniegra , 33 years of age, Address- Main St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/17/2017 @ 10:46 pm.

Charge:  Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines 2cts
                 Warrant- Probation Violation 2cts
                 Warrant- Contempt of Court

   Gersson Viniegra was transported from the St. Martin Parish Jail to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Viniegra was booked and incarcerated.


Jason P. Cavalier, 42 years of age, Address- Hilda St. Morgan City, La was arrested on 11/18/2017 @ 6:15 am.

Charge: Theft under $1000.00
                Criminal Damage to Property

   Officers responded to a local drug store on Brashear Ave. in regards to a theft.  Management pointed out the individual to officers, who was identified as Jason Cavalier. Officers located items belonging to the store in Cavalier’s possession and one of the items was damaged. Cavalier was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Joseph H. Pollard Jr., 56 years of age, Address-Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/18/2017 @ 4:33 pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

   Officers responded to the area of Fifth and Greenwood St. in regards to an individual that was lying on the ground. Officers located the individual, who was later identified as Joseph Pollard. Reports indicate that Pollard appeared intoxicated. Pollard was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


William K. Rawls, 55 years of age, Address- Carrol Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/18/2017 @ 7:50 pm.

Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense
                 Improper Lane Usage
                 Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle

   A patrol officer observed a vehicle in the area of Hwy 182 and Aycock St. crossing the center line several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as William Rawls.  According to reports, Rawls appeared intoxicated. Rawls was asked to perform the Standard Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. The officer also noticed an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. Rawls was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Rawls was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Rawls results yielded a .122 g% of blood alcohol content. Rawls was booked and incarcerated.


Frank D. Peavy, 45 years of age, Address- N. First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/19/2017 @ 2:40 am.

Charge:  Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Theft under $1000.00

    Officer responded to a residence on Lousia St. in regards to a theft. According to reports, the victim stated that Frank Peavy had used her vehicle and had not returned it. The victim also believed he had stolen her purse.  Officers were given a description of the vehicle and were able to locate the vehicle at a residence on N. First St. Contact was made with Peavy at the location where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Herman Span, 48 years of age, Address- David Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/19/2017 @ 4:04 pm.
Charge:  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

   Officers responded to a residence on Eleventh St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and located Herman Span. According to witnesses, Span had been at the residence causing a disturbance and would not leave. Reports indicate that Span appeared intoxicated. Span was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Larry Washington, 39 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/19/2017 @ 11:43 am.

Charge:  Simple Battery

      Officers were dispatched to a residence on Fourth St. in regards to a disturbance. According to reports, the victim stated that she and Larry Washington had gotten into a verbal altercation, which later turned physical. The victim alleged that Washington had pushed her during the altercation. Washington was located in the home and was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Victoria M. Daigle, 35 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/19/2017 @ 2:27 pm.

Charge:  Theft under $1000.00

   Officers responded to a local business on Brasher Ave. in regards to a theft. Management provided security footage of the incident and the suspect was identified as Victoria Daigle. Officers were able to locate Daigle at a residence on First St. Reports indicate that Daigle admitted to the theft. Daigle was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
