MCPD Arrest Report 12/04/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 110 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 12/01/2017:

Bradley Griffin 12042017

Bradley Griffin, 38 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 12/01/2017 @ 5:33 p.m.

Charges: Domestic Battery Abuse-Child Endangerment Law
                 Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
                 Resisting an Officer

Patrol officers responded to the area of Terrebonne St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and Bradley Griffin was identified as one of the subjects involved. According to reports, Griffin allegedly struck the victim during the altercation. There were also several children present. Griffin struggled with officers when taking him into custody. Griffin was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Griffin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Darlene Dupre 12012017

Darlene Dupre, 70 years of age, address: Martin Luther King Dr. Baldwin, La., arrested on 12/01/2017 @ 5:56 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Vyvanse)
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Hydrocodone)
                 Improper Lighting
                 Improper Turning
                 No Insurance

Dawn R. Height, 48 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Patterson, La., arrested on 12/01/2017 @ 5:56 p.m.

Charges: Hold for St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office
                 Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Ditch Ave. negotiate an improper turn. The vehicle being operated also did not have proper lighting as required. A stop was initiated and Darlene Dupre was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Dupre was found to be in possession of Vyvanse and Hydrocodone to which she did not have a prescription for. The vehicle Dupre was operating was found not to have proper insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Dawn R. Height was identified as an occupant in the vehicle. When officers initially spoke with Height she provided them with a false name. Height was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 16th Judicial Court.  Dupre and Height were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Ethlin Simmons 12042017

Ethlin J. A. Simmons, 35 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/01/2017 @ 8:30 p.m.

Charges: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
                 Illegal Use of Dangerous Instrumentalities
                 Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
                 Driving Under Suspension
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine 08/08/2017 (2 Counts)

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fifth St. in regards to a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner. The vehicle was observed stopping at a residence in the area of Fifth St. While officers were responding reports were received of a female subject being armed with a firearm at a residence in the same area. Officers arrived and determined that the two calls were linked. Ethlin J.A. Simmons was identified as the subject involved. According to reports, evidence was uncovered that Simmons arrived at a residence in the area and discharged a firearm into the ground during the disturbance. The firearm was recovered and Simmons was found to be a convicted felon prohibiting her from possessing a firearm. Officers also recovered an open beverage of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle and found that her Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Simmons also held active arrest warrants through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Simmons was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Joshua J. Engleton, 23 years of age, address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/02/2017 @ 1:16 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Armed Robbery

Joshua J. Engleton was located and arrested in the area of Federal Ave. on an active arrest warrant held by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. Engleton was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Gregorio V. Ramirez, 35 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/02/2017 @ 2:44 a.m.

Charges: Domestic Battery Abuse

Patrol officers responded to the area of Sixth St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. According to reports, officers arrived and Gregorio V. Ramirez identified as one of the subjects involved. Allegedly Ramirez struck the victim during the altercation. Ramirez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joshua Robertson 12042017

Joshua Robertson Sr., 26 years of age, address: Grizzaffi St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/02/2017 @ 3:09 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Domestic Battery Abuse- Child Endangerment Law
                 Warrant: Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
                 Resisting an Officer

Patrol officers responded to the area of Third St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and one of the subjects involved fled on foot. The subject who was identified as Joshua Robertson was apprehended a short time and taken into custody. It was found that Robertson held active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on October 9, 2017, then officers responded to the area of Grizzaffi St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Robertson fled the area prior to officers arriving. Allegedly Robertson committed a battery on the victim and threatened them with a firearm. Warrants were prepared for Robertson's arrest. Robertson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kyle Q. Rhett, 26 years of age, address: General McArthur St. Morgan City, La., arrested on
12/02/2017 @ 10:31 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Revocation on 10/06/2017
                 Warrant: Driving Under Suspension 3rd Offense

Kyle Q. Rhett was located and arrested in the area of Terrebonne St. on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court and the Morgan City Police. The warrants through the Morgan City Police stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on 11/04/2017 when Rhett was observed operating a vehicle in the area of Wren St. It was found by the officer that Rhett’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Warrants were prepared for Rhett’s arrest. Rhett was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Heather D. LaCoste, 33 years of age, address: Marshall St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/02/2017 @ 2:22 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 11/07/2017 (5 Counts)

Heather D. LaCoste was located and arrested in the area of Bowman St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. LaCoste was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Tracy Vidos 12042017

Tracy J. Vidos III, 38 years of age, address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/02/2017 @ 3:14 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Improper Turning
                 Disregard of Traffic Controls
                 Expired Driver’s License

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of Allison St. fail to stop at a stop sign and negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated and Tracy J. Vidos III was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Vidos’ Louisiana Drivers License was found to be expired. Vidos was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Methamphetamine. Vidos was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Tammy L. Wilson, 46 years of age, address: Mendoza St. Franklin, La., arrested on 12/03/2017 @ 8:32 a.m.

Charges: Theft by Shoplifting

Patrol officers responded to a business in the area of Victor II Blvd. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and Tammy L. Wilson was identified as the person involved. Allegedly Wilson was observed concealing merchandise valued at $93.98 in her purse. Wilson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
