MCPD Arrest Report 12/22/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 35 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 12/21/2017:

Tommy L. Harding, 26 years of age, address: Friendship Lane Amelia, La., arrested on 12/21/2017 @ 2:29 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Tobacco on Jail Premises

Officers with the Morgan City Correctional Facility conducted an investigation into the use of tobacco in the Morgan City Jail which is prohibited. Officers searched a cell belonging to Harding. Harding was allegedly found to be in possession of Tobacco. Harding was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Todd J. Gautreaux, 57 years of age, address: Vicari St. Houma, La., arrested on 12/21/2017 @ 3:57 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 2nd Offense
                 Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. A description of the vehicle was obtained and officers located the vehicle in question in the area of MLK Blvd. Todd J. Gautreaux was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Gautreaux was found to be in an intoxicated state. Gautreaux performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Gautreaux was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. Gautreaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for Chemical Test. Gautreaux submitted to Chemical Test which resulted in .224g% blood alcohol content. Gautreaux was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Bridget Brown, 46 years of age, address: Arstile Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/21/2017 @ 11:57 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Battery

Bridget Brown was located and arrested in the area of Maple St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on September 10, 2015 when officers responded to the area of Chennault St. in regards to a complaint of a battery that had been committed. According to reports, officers arrived and learned through the investigation that Brown allegedly committed a battery on the victim. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Brown’s arrest. Brown was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
