MCPD Arrest Report 01/05/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 27 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 01/04/2018:
Jordan Smith, 17 years of age, address: Marietta Ln. Gray, La., arrested on 01/04/2018 @ 2:02 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery
Warrant: False Imprisonment
Warrant: Criminal Damage to Property
Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 09/18/2017
Jordin Smith was located and arrested at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police and 6th Ward Morgan City Court. The warrants from the Morgan City Police stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on 12/08/2017 when Smith allegedly committed a battery on the victim and prevented her to leave. Smith also allegedly damaged property belonging to the victim. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Smith’s arrest. Smith was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Christy Bordelon, 36 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/04/2018 @ 3:05 p.m.
Charges: Driving under Suspension
Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Patrol officers responded to the area of First St. in regards to a crash. Officers arrived and Christy Bordelon was identified as the operator of the vehicle involved. Evidence was discovered during the investigation that Bordelon operated the vehicle in a careless manner. It was also found that Bordelon’s Louisiana Driver’s License was under suspension. Bordelon was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
