Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 96-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 121 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 01/12/2018:
Marcus T. Gray, 33 years of age, address: First St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/12/2018 @ 2:57 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 03/24/2009
Marcus T. Gray was located and arrested in the area of Willard St. on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Gray was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Wiltz Grow, 51 years of age, address: Adelle St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/13/2018 @ 2:08 a.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 70 in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Wiltz Grow was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Grow was found to be in an intoxicated state. Grow performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Grow was found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage in the motor vehicle. Grow was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he refused to submit to. Grow was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Ronald Grow, 45 years of age, address: Union St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/13/2018 @ 2:36 a.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Seventh St. without proper lighting. A stop was initiated and Ronald Grow was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Grow’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be suspended. Grow was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Jonathan C. Murray was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Murray was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 16th Judicial Court. Murray was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Cayd Hatch, 20 years of age, address: Prairie Rd. Franklin, La., arrested on 01/13/2018 @ 6:25 p.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Brashear Ave. disregard a red light. The vehicle was also observed not to have a license plate displayed. A stop was initiated and Cayd Hatch was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Hatch’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Hatch was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and April Thompkins was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, the vehicle Thompkins was operating was found not to have proper insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Thompkins was also found to hold active arrest warrants through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court and Thibodaux Police Department. Thompkins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Richard K. Hawkins, 42 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/13/2018 @ 9:33 p.m.
Charges: Simple Battery
Patrol officers responded to the area of Sixth St. in regards to a battery that had been committed. Officers arrived and according to reports, Richard K. Hawkins was identified as one of the subjects involved. Hawkins allegedly struck the victim during a verbal altercation. Hawkins was located a short time later in the area of Terrebonne St. According to reports, Hawkins admitted to striking the victim. Hawkins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Fuentes was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of First St. in regards to an intoxicated subject beating on a vehicle. Officers arrived and according to reports, Johnny C. Berryhill was identified as one of the subjects involved. Berryhill was found to be in an intoxicated state. Berryhill was observed by the officer consuming an alcoholic beverage. Berryhill was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Jesses R. Laboy, 41 years of age, address: Ingalls Ave. Pascagoula MS., arrested on 01/14/2018 @ 2:42 a.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of David Dr. disregard a stop sign. A stop was initiated and Jesses R. Laboy was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Laboy was found to be in an intoxicated state. Laboy performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Laboy was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Laboy was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Upon arrival to the Morgan City Jail Laboy submitted to Chemical Test registering .102g % Blood Alcohol Content. Laboy was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Charges: Obstruction of Justice
Patrol officers responded to the area of Mallard St. in regards to a narcotics complaint. A description of a vehicle was obtained and located by the responding officer. A stop was initiated and Soma K. Scott Jr. was identified as an occupant in the vehicle. Evidence was uncovered during the investigation that Scott destroyed suspected marijuana by ingesting it. Scott was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Brennan N. Skinner, 25 years of age, address: Grace St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/14/2018 @ 8:48 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Victor II Blvd. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and Damien Keller was identified. According to reports, Keller allegedly concealed items valued at $59.99 while in the store. When management was alerted Keller removed the watch and left the store. Keller was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Carl J. Batiste, 54 years of age, address: Taft St. Patterson, La., arrested on 01/15/2018 @ 3:01 p.m.

Batiste was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. with a windshield that was in a condition to obstruct the operators view. A stop was initiated and Michael A. Bender was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Bender’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Bender was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Bender was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
