MCPD Arrest Report 01/17/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 41 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 01/16/2018:
Ronald Barrow Jr., 43 years of age, address: Jones St. Berwick, La., arrested on 01/16/2018 @ 11:23 a.m.
Charges: Driving under Suspension
Warrant: Simple Assault
Warrant: Disturbing the Peace
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Front St. The officer knew the operator of the vehicle to be Ronald Barrow Jr. Barrow was known to hold active arrest warrants through the Morgan City Police Department. A stop was initiated and Barrow’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 10, 2016, when officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports, Barrow was identified as one of the subjects involved. During the verbal altercation, Barrow allegedly threatened the victim. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Barrow’s arrest. Barrow was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

William L. Richardson, 23 years of age, address: Taft St. Patterson, La., arrested on 01/16/2018 @ 2:53 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Theft under$1,000
Warrant: Aggravated Burglary
Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery
William L. Richardson was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. One of the warrants stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 21, 2013, when officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a theft. Richardson was identified as one the subjects involved and allegedly took $200 dollars of US Currency from the business. The second warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 3, 2015, when officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a female screaming. Officers arrived and according to reports, learned during the investigation that William L. Richardson had allegedly entered the victim’s residence and committed a battery on them causing injury. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Richardson’s arrest. Richardson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Gavin Porche, 35 years of age, address: Sandalwood Drive Gray, La., arrested on 01/16/2018 @ 4:08 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Home Improvement Fraud
Gavin Porche was located and arrested at the Terrebonne Parish Detention Center on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers when they received a report of Home Improvement Fraud that occurred in the area of Chestnut Dr. Gavin Porche was identified during the investigation of allegedly taking payment from the victim for work that was never completed. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Porche’s arrest. Porce was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charlene Kilgore, 30 years of age, address: Rue De Kajun Pierre Part, La., arrested on 01/16/2018 @ 7:49 p.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Seventh St. negotiate and improper turn and had only one operation brake light. A stop was initiated and Clint Landry was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Charlene Kilgore was identified as an occupant. According to reports. Landry’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Landry and Kilgore were also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and hydrocodone. Landry and Kilgore were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 3rd Offense

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Railroad Ave in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane. The vehicle also did not have any operation lighting. A stop was initiated and Mikel R. Clark was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Clark was found to be in an intoxicated state. Clark performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety. Clark was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he refused to submit to. Clark booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
