MCPD Arrest Report 01/18/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 30 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 01/17/2018:
Ben P. Louviere, 39 years of age, address: Pine St. Franklin, La., arrested on 01/17/2018 @ 1:50 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 12/13/2017
Ben P. Louviere was located and arrested in the area of Brashear Ave. on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Louviere was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Jeffrey A. Foster, 55 years of age, address: West 6th St. Donaldsonville, La., arrested on 01/17/2018 @ 8:21 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation
Jeffrey A. Foster was located and arrested in the area of Duke St. on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Foster was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Shelton Phillips, 22 years of age, address: Georgetown Franklin, La., arrested on 01/17/2018 @ 11:59 p.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Driving under Suspension
Improper Lighting
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Fig St. without proper lighting. A stop was initiated and Shelton Phillips was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Phillips’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Phillips was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Phillips was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
