MCPD Arrest Report 02/05/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 86 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 02/02/2018:

Christopher A. Marquez, 31 years of age, address: Benard St. Patterson, La., arrested on 02/02/2018 @ 1:43 a.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 No Driver’s License

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Christopher Marquez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Marquez was found to be in an intoxicated state. Marquez performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Marquez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test which he submitted to registering .000g% blood alcohol content. Allegedly Marquez admitted to use of narcotics and toxicology results are pending. Marquez was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

William K. Rawls, 55 years of age, address: Carrol Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/02/2018 @ 10:15 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Hit & Run

William K. Rawls was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on January 16, 2018, when officers responded to the area of Allison St. in regards to a crash. Officers arrived and learned that one of the vehicles involved fled the scene. According to reports, Rawls was identified as a suspect during that investigation. Evidence was uncovered linking Rawls to the crash. Warrants were prepared for Rawls arrest. Rawls was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Heather M. Theriot, 40 years of age, address: First St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/02/2018 @ 3:15 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Marijuana
                 Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Craig Albarado 02032018

Craig Albarado, 53 years of age, address: Everett St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/02/2018 @ 3:24 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
                 Aggravated Escape
                 Aggravated Obstruction of Highway Commerce
                 Aggravated Flight from an Officer
                 Criminal Damage to Property

Heather Theriot and Craig Albarado were located and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants for Theriot stem from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division on July 10, 2017, when Theriot was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Theriot’s arrest. The warrant for Albarado stems from an investigation conducted by narcotic investigators on October 11, 2017 when Albarado was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Albarado’s arrest. Albarado was taken into custody and found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine. Albarado was placed in a Morgan City Police Department Patrol Unit. While attempting to place Theriot into custody, Albarado was able to free himself from the handcuffs and gain entry into the front seat of the patrol unit. Albarado then fled the scene in the patrol unit and officers gave chase. Albarado traveled at speeds and in an erratic manner showing no due regard to the public. The manner in which he operated the patrol unit caused damage to the vehicle. Albarado fled to the river front at a local business in the area of First St. Albarado jumped into the river in an attempt to evade arrest. After a short search Albarado was located and taken back into custody. Theriot and Albarado were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Michael W. Federer Jr., 27 years of age, address: Theriot Alley Berwick, La., arrested on 02/02/2018 @ 10:50 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Switched License Plate
                 No Insurance
                 Improper Lane Usage

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Michael W. Federer Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Federer Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and the vehicle he was operating was found not to have proper insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Federer was arrested and transported to the Morgan City  Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Keia K. Johnson, 41 years of age, address: Camille Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 02/03/2018 @ 2:18 a.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Improper Lighting
                 No Insurance

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper Lighting. A stop was initiated and Keia K. Johnson was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, the vehicle Johnson was operating did not have proper insurance as required by  Louisiana Law. Johnson was found to be in an intoxicated state. Johnson performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test which she registered .092g% blood alcohol content. Johnson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

James Harris Jr., 57 years of age, address: Bowman St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/03/2018 @ 7:51 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 No Insurance
                 Open Container of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and James Harris Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Harris’ Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and the vehicle he was operating was not properly insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Harris was also found to be in possession of an alcoholic beverage in the motor vehicle. Harris was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Shaquinia M. Harris, 23 years of age, address: Arizona St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/03/2018 @ 8:49 p.m.

Brennan N. Skinner, 25 years of age, address: Grace St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/03/2018 @ 8:49 p.m.

Charges: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 01/09/2018

Shaquinia M. Harris and Brennan N. Skinner were located and arrested in the area of Patton St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Harris and Skinner were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Tony A. Williams, 58 years of age, address: Palm View CT. Haines City, FL, arrested on 02/03/2018 @ 11:02 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Improper Lane Usage

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Tony A. Williams was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Williams was found to be in an intoxicated state. Williams performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Williams was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he registered .122g% blood alcohol content. Williams was booked into the Morgan City  Jail and incarcerated.

Marcus Gray 02042018

Marcus T. Gray, 33 years of age, address: First St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/04/2018 @ 12:36 a.m.

Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation

Patrol officers responded to the area of Greenwood St. in regards to a Domestic Battery.
Officers arrived and Marcus T. Gray was identified as one of the subjects involved. Evidence was uncovered that Gray strangled the victim during the altercation. Gray was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Stephen A. Boyd Jr., 29 years of age, address: Ratcliff Ln. Franklin, La., arrested on 02/04/2018 @ 8:42 a.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Disregard of Traffic Controls
                 Switched License Plate
                 No Insurance
                 Vehicle License Required

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Brashear Ave. disregard a traffic control. A stop was initiated and Stephen A. Boyd Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Boyd’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and the vehicle he was operating had a license plate that belonged to another vehicle. The plate on the vehicle that should have been displayed was cancelled. The vehicle was also found not to have proper insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Boyd was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Sharell E. Gregorieff, 30 years of age, address: Camille Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 02/04/2018 @ 2:10 a.m.

                 Improper Lane Usage

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of East Blvd in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Sharell E. Gregorieff was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Gregorieff was found to be in an intoxicated state. Gregorieff performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Gregorieff was arrested and transported to the Morgan City  Jail for Chemical Testing which she registered .195g% blood alcohol content. Gregorieff was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Jordan Granger, 28 years of age, address: N. Everett St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/04/2018 @ 11:00 a.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 11/07/2017 (2 Counts)

Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a intoxicated subject. Officers arrived and Jordan Granger was identified. According to reports, Granger was found to be in an intoxicated state. Granger also held active arrest warrants through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Granger was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Shawn Harding 02042018

Shawn P. Harding, 47 years of age, address: MLK Dr. Jeanerette, La., arrested on 02/04/2017 @ 7:57 p.m.

Charges: Simple Burglary (2 Counts)
                 Criminal Trespassing

Patrol officers responded to the area of Filmore St. in regards to a male subject burglarizing a vehicle. Upon being noticed the subject fled the area on a bike. A description was obtained of the subject and officers located Shawn P. Harding on a bike in the area. Harding fit the description provided.  According to reports, evidence was uncovered that Harding had burglarized two vehicles in the area and was identified s the subject on Filmore St. Harding was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. The investigation is still ongoing.

Richard I. Ruelas, 26 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/04/2018 @ 10:10 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 08/01/2017 (2 counts)

Richard I. Ruelas was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Ruelas was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
