MCPD Arrest Report 02/14/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 48-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 65 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 02/12/2018:
Abram M. Granger Jr., 18 years of age, address: Apple St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/12/2018 @ 9:06 p.m.
Charges: No Driver’s License
Inspection Required
Failure to Secure Registration
Switched License Plates
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Belanger St. acting in a suspicious manner. Upon seeing the officer the operator quickly turned into a residence and turned off its lights. A stop was initiated on the vehicle and Abram M. Granger Jr. was identified as the operator. According to reports, Granger was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and the vehicle he was operating was found to have an expired inspection sticker, No Registration, and the license plate that was displayed belonged to another vehicle. Granger was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Neil C. Loupe, 47 years of age, address: N. Prescott Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/13/2018 @ 1:30 a.m.
Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
Improper Lighting
No Driver’s License on Person
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. without illuminated headlights or tail lights. A stop was initiated and Neil C. Loupe was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Loupe did not have his driver’s license with him at the time of the stop. According to reports, Loupe was found to be in an intoxicated state. Loupe performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Loupe was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he refused to submit to. Loupe was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Blake M. Dinger, 24 years of age, address: Aycock St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 02/13/2018 @ 2:01 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fee on 06/06/2017
Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 12/05/2017
Blake M. Dinger was located and arrested in the area of Seventh St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Dinger was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
