MCPD Arrest Report 03/05/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 107 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 03/02/2018:

Rebecca Martin, 46 years of age, address:  Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 12:12 a.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fourth St. in regards to a subject lying on the side of the road. Officers arrived and Rebecca Martin was identified. According to reports, Martin was found to be in an intoxicated state. Martin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Derrick Kelly, 23 years of age, address: Kelly Pellerin Ln. Franklin, La., arrested on 03/02/2018 @ 4:29 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fifth St. in regards to a suspicious subject. Officers arrived and Derrick Kelly was identified. According to reports, Kelly was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Kelly was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Paulette Skinner, 42 years of age, address: Grace St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/02/2018 @ 9:05 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Victor II Blvd in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Paulette Skinner was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Skinner’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Skinner was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Ginger Russell 03022018

Ginger Russell, 41 years of age, address: Oak Harbor Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/02/2018 @ 10:07 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 4th Offense
                 Improper Lane Usage
                 Driving under Suspension
                 Possession of a Legend Drug (Gabapentin)
                 Possession of a Legend Drug (Mirtazapine)

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 70 in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Ginger Russell was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Russell was found to be in an intoxicated state. Russell performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Russell was also found to be in possession of suspected Gabapentin and Mirtazapine. Russell was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which she submitted to registering .000g% blood alcohol content. Russell submitted to blood analysis which is pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. Records indicated that Russell had three prior Driving While Intoxicated offenses. Russell was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Michael Marks, 57 years of age, address: Oil Tank Alley Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/02/2018 @ 11:24 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana


Preston Wade 03022018


Preston Wade, 27 years of age, address: Village Ln., Amelia, La., arrested on 03/02/2018 @ 11:24 p.m.

Charges: Monetary Instrument Abuse

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Federal Ave. in regards to counterfeit money. Officers arrived and Michael Mark was identified as one of the parties involved. The investigation continued and Preston Wade was identified as another suspect involved. Wade was located at a residence in the area of Oil Tank Alley. According to reports, Wade had given Marks the counterfeit money to exchange at the store. Wade was found to be in possession of more counterfeit money. Marks was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Lance Leonard 03032018


Lance J. Leonard, 44 years of age, address: S. Bay Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/03/2018 @ 2:17 p.m.

Charges: Theft under $1,000
                 Obstruction of Justice
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Seventh St. in regards to a complaint of a shoplifter. Leonard reportedly fled the scene on foot and was observed discarding something on the side of the store. Officers arrived in the area and Lance J. Leonard was identified. According to reports, Leonard was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. The object he had discarded was located and contained more suspected Methamphetamine. Allegedly Leonard had taken shoes valued at $10.00 from the establishment. Leonard was arrested and transported to the Morgan City  Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Shauna Priestley, 21 years of age, address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/03/2018 @ 4:14 p.m.

Charges: Simple Battery

Patrol officers responded to the area of Federal Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Shauna Priestley was identified as one of the subjects involved. According to reports, Priestley allegedly struck the victim during the altercation. Priestley was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Joel Reyes, 21 years of age, address: West Side Park, Amelia, La., arrested on 03/03/2018 @ 11:17 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Improper Lighting

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Arenz St. with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Joel Reyes was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Reyes was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Reyes was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Alicia A. Gilmer, 23 years of age, address: Pecan St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/04/2018 @ 9:48 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Illegal use of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Patrol officers responded to the area of Pecan in regards to an unrelated matter that had occurred the day before. Officers arrived and Alicia A. Gilmer was identified. According to reports, officers could detect an odor of marijuana emitting from the residence. Gilmer was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Two juveniles were also located in the residence. The area where this incident had taken place is within a Drug-Free Zone. Gilmer was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Harley M. Campo, 23 years of age, address: Ledet Dr. Thibodaux, La., arrested on 03/04/2018 @ 12:27 p.m.

Charges: Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile

Patrol officers responded to the area of Third St. in regards to a missing person complaint. Officers arrived and learned that Harley M. Campo had been missing since the night before with a 16 year old juvenile. Officers utilized the patrol shifts resources in an attempt to locate the duo. Eventually through the investigation Campo and the juvenile returned back to the residence. Campo along with the juvenile were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking. Campo was booked and incarcerated. The juvenile was released to a guardian.

Cody M. Duhon, 34 years of age, address: Gladu Rd. Kaplan, La., arrested on 03/04/2018 @ 1:20 a.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace
                 Entry or Remaining in Places after being Forbidden

Patrol officers responded to a local hotel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a removal of a subject. Officers arrived and Cody M. Duhon was identified. According to reports, Duhon was found to be in an intoxicated state. Duhon caused a disturbance prior to the officers arrived and when asked to leave refused to do so. Duhon continued to use profanity and derogatory terms in the presence of the officers. Duhon was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Thomas Steely 03042018


Thomas E. Steely Jr., 42 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/04/2018 @ 5:49 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Warrant: Criminal Conspiracy to Distribute SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)


Richard J. Sauce, 42 years of age, address: Polaris St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/04/2018 @ 6:39 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 04/30/2003 (2 Counts)

 
Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Thomas E. Steely Jr. and Richard Sauce were identified. According to reports, Steely was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the Morgan City Police. Sauce was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Steely was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. The warrant for Steely stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on Februrary 02, 2018 when Steely was found to be involved in a Criminal Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for his arrest. Steely and Sauce were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Kellie Boudreaux, 35 years of age, address: Shaw Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/04/2018 @ 4:46 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 01/30/2018

Kellie Boudreaux was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Boudreaux was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Christine Drinkwater 03052018


Christine M. Drinkwater, 37 years of age, address: Biggs St. Baldwin, La., arrested on 03/05/2018 @ 12:41 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility
                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 01/31/2017


Blaine Case 03052018


Blaine Case, 24 years of age, address: Loranger St. Lafayette, La., arrested on 03/05/2018 @ 1:13 a.m.

Charges: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
                 Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
                 Illegal Carrying of Weapons
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a complaint of an aggravated assault. Officers arrived and the victim provided a description of a vehicle that had fled as officers were arriving that had pulled a firearm on them. The vehicle was located in the area of LA 182 and Christine M. Drinkwater was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Blaine Case was identified as an occupant. According to reports, Drinkwater and Case were found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. Case was also found to be in possession of a firearm that was reported stolen from Mamou, La. Records indicate that Case is a convicted felon prohibiting him from possessing a firearm. Drinkwater was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 16th Judicial Court. Drinkwater and Case were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail. Once at the jail Drinkwater was found to be in possession of more suspected methamphetamine. Drinkwater and Case were booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
