MCPD Arrest Report 03/07/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 51 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 03/06/2018:

Gregory L. Clements, 48 years of age, address: Fourth St. Berwick, La., arrested on 03/06/2018 @ 4:03 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of US 90 in a reckless manner. A stop was initiated and Gregory L. Clements was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Clements' Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Clements was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Antancio Guerrero 03062018

Antanacio Guerrero Jr., 56 years of age, address: Duke St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/06/2018 @ 4:25 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Marijuana W/I/T/D
                 Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Warrant: Transactions involving Proceeds from Drug Activity

Antanacio Guerrero Jr. was located and arrested at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division when Guerrero was allegedly found to be in possession of a large amount of suspected Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and U.S. Currency that is believed to be derived from Drug Activity. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Guerrero’s arrest. Guerrero was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Terry Toups 03072018

Terry L. Toups, 57 years of age, address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/07/2018 @ 2:49 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS W/I/T/D (Methamphetamine)
                 Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Improper Lane Usage

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner in the area of MLK Blvd. A stop was initiated and Terry L. Toups was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Toups was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia. Evidence was uncovered that the suspected Methamphetamine was destined to be sold in illicit sales. Toups was arrested and transported to the Morgan City  Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
