MCPD Arrest Report 03/14/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 39 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 03/13/2018:
Alyssa L. Ashmore, 28 years of age, address- Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/13/2018 @ 2:30 pm.
Charge: Driving Under Suspension
Alyssa Ashmore was involved in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Federal Ave. and Freret St. A computer check was done on Ashmore’s driver’s license and it was found to be suspended. Ashmore was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Odie G. Nadar, 35 years of age, address- Hwy 70 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/13/2018 @ 2:50 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Warrant- Domestic Abuse Battery
Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant on a residence on Onstead St. Detectives came into contact with Odie Nadar inside the home. Officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Nadar also held an active warrant for the 16th Judicial District Court. Nadar was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Tara L. Loupe, 37 years of age, address- Susan Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/13/2018 @ 8:27 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fine
Tara Loupe was located in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Florence St. A warrant check determined that Loupe held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Loupe was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Manuel Fuentes, 37 years of age, address- Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/13/2018 @ 8:39 pm.
Charge: Driving Under Suspension
A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 90 near the Martin Luther King exit observed a vehicle traveling at a speed higher than what was posted. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Manuel Fuentes was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Fuentes’ driver’s license was under suspension. Fuentes was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Edwin Cruz, 35 years of age, address- Ohio St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/14/2018 @ 2:35 am.
Charge: Possession of Schedule III CDS (Suboxone)
No Driver’s License
Stop Sign Violation
A patrol officer observed a vehicle disregard a stop sign at the intersection of David Dr. and LA Hwy 182. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Edwin Cruz was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Cruz was found to have suspected Suboxone on his person. A computer check revealed that Cruz did not have a valid driver’s license. Cruz was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
