MCPD Arrest Report 04/16/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 121 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 04/13/2018:
Louis Aucoin Jr., 47 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/13/2018 @ 12:58 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Simple Assault
Louis Aucoin was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on February 24, 2018, when Aucoin allegedly threatened to commit a battery on the victim. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Aucoin’s arrest. Aucoin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Povial R. Ward, 27 years of age, address: Scottie St. Franklin, La., arrested on 04/13/2018 @ 10:22 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Theft
Speeding 52 mph in a 35 mph zone
No Driver’s License
Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 at speeds of 52 mph in a 35 mph zone. A stop was initiated when Povial R. Ward was identified as the operator of the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Ward was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Ward was found to possess an open alcoholic beverage in the motor vehicle and she held an active arrest warrant through the Franklin Police Department. Ward was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Dexter A. Blanchard, 28 years of age, address: Brothers Court, Pierre Part, La., arrested on 04/14/2018 @ 1:23 a.m.
Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle
Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Patrol officers were in the area of LA 182 handling an unrelated complaint when they observed a vehicle being operated at high speeds in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated when Dexter A. Blanchard was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Blanchard was found to be in an intoxicated state. Blanchard performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Blanchard was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage in the motor vehicle. Blanchard was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he submitted to registering .232g% blood alcohol content. Blanchard was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Frank J. Weekly, 46 years of age, address: Kemper Williams Park Patterson, La., arrested on 04/14/2018 @ 3:20 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Possession of Marijuana

Warrant: Expired License Plate
Frank J. Weekly was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on March 26, 2018, when officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in the area of Egle St. due to an expired license plate. Frank J. Weekly was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Weekly was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Weekly’s arrest. Weekly was booked in the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Sana Khan, 29 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/14/2018 @ 8:16 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Revocation Hearing on 08/11/2017
Sana Khan was located and arrested in the area of Fourth St. on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial Court. Khan was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Jarvis Melton, 32 years of age, address: Garber St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/15/2018 @ 10:45 a.m.

Wyatt Brown, 30 years of age, address: Garber St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/15/2018 @ 10:45 a.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Terrebonne St. and the license plate on the vehicle improperly displayed causing it to be obscured. A stop was initiated when Jarvis Melton was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Wyatt Brown was identified as an occupant. According to reports, Melton was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and he held an active arrest warrants through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. K-9 Lady was deployed indicating the presence of narcotic odor in the vehicle. Melton and Brown were found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Records indicate that the duo had been previously charged with marijuana offenses. Melton and Brown were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Luiny L. Deleon, 28 years of age, address: Duke St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/15/2018 @ 10:10 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 01/30/2018 (3 Counts)
Luiny L. Deleon was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Deleon was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Tiffany N. Chauvin, 34 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/16/2018 @ 5:48 a.m.
Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery
Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officer arrived when Tiffany N. Chauvin was identified as one of the parties involved. Chauvin was found to be in an intoxicated state. Allegedly Chauvin was involved in a verbal altercation when she struck the victim. Chauvin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
