MCPD Arrest Report 04/23/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 163 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 04/20/2018:
Donshea Amos, 29 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/20/2018 @ 11:15 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Simple Assault
Donshea Amos was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on December 28, 2017, when they responded to the area of Roderick St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and learned that Donshea Amos allegedly committed an assault on the victim. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Amos’ arrest. Amos was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Tre’veon Francois was located and arrested in the area of Barrow St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Juvenile Division on April 20, 2018, when they responded to the Tiger Drive in regards to a sexual battery. According to reports, Tre’veon Francois was identified in the investigation. Allegedly Francois committed a sexual battery on the victim. The investigation also uncovered several other incidents when Francois committed a batteries and an assault on the victim while causing a disturbance. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Francois’ arrest. Francois was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Jerry R. Forbes, 17 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/20/2018 @ 9:11 p.m.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace
Patrol officers responded to the area of Front St. in regards to a disturbance. According to reports, officers arrived and Jerry R. Forbes was identified as causing the disturbance wanting to fight with other patrons in the area. Forbes was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Joshua P. Dehart, 24 years of age, address: Katie Ct. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/21/2018 @ 1:20 a.m.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Joshua P. Dehart was identified. According to reports, Dehart allegedly caused a disturbance with other patrons in the parking lot of the establishment in the presence of the officers. Dehart was found to be in an intoxicated state. Dehart was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Michelle Brown, 45 years of age, address: Eighth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/21/2018 @ 8:00 a.m.
Charges: Battery on a Correctional Officer
Criminal Damage to Property (2 counts)
Correctional Officers were conducting daily duties in the Morgan City Jail when they encountered Michelle Brown in one of the cells. According to reports, Brown had damaged property belonging to the Morgan City Jail. Brown allegedly committed a battery on the correctional officer damaging glasses that belonged to the officer. Brown was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail.
Jerry L. Norman, 55 years of age, address: S. Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/21/2018 @ 10:44 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 10/05/2017
Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation on 11/07/2018
Jerry L. Norman was located and arrested in the area of Arenz St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Norman was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Heather A. Spencer, 37 years of age, address: Ninth St. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/21/2018 @ 2:32 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fifth St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Heather A. Spencer and Aliya G. Green were identified. According to reports, Spencer and Green were observed by officers to be involved in a fistic encounter. Further investigation uncovered that Spencer had committed a battery on another victim during the verbal altercation. Spencer and Green were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Egle St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Irvian A. Singleton III and Diamond Thomas were identified. According to reports, Singleton and Thomas were involved in a verbal altercation. Both subjects were identified as committing batteries upon one another. Allegedly Singleton began to strangle Thomas during the altercation. Singleton and Thomas were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Jason J. LaFleur, 45 years of age, address: Isle of Cuba Rd. Schriever, La., arrested on 04/22/2018 @ 1:12 a.m.
Charges: Driving under Suspension
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated when Jason J. LaFleur was identified as the operator of the vehicle. LaFleur’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. LaFleur was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Phyllis E. Landry, 41 years of age, address: Allison Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/22/2018 @ 2:31 a.m.

Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Improper Lane Usage
No Driver’s License
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane. The vehicle then abruptly made a left turn onto the US 90 down-ramp and began to traveling westbound in an eastbound lane. The vehicle was eventually stopped on US 90 near the Federal Ave. down-ramp. Phyllis E. Landry was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Landry was found to be in an intoxicated state. Landry performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Landry also did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Landry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which she refused to submit to. Landry was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Brandon Gaudet, 28 years of age, address: Hwy 317 Centerville, La., arrested on 04/22/2018 @ 9:39 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Brandon Gaudet was located and arrested at the Patterson Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Gaudet was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Eros Broussard, 35 years of age, address: Levee Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/22/2018 @ 2:53 p.m.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Patrol officers observed a male subject walking in the area of Federal Ave. that appeared to be in an intoxicated condition. Officers encountered the subject who was identified as Eros Broussard. Broussard was found to be in an intoxicated state. Broussard was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Burkin J. Dupre, 32 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/22/2018 @ 3:37 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Revocation on 10/06/2017
Burkin J. Dupre was located and arrested in the area of Duke St. on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Dupre was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Brennan R. Tabor, 30 years of age, address: Hendrick St. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/22/2018 @ 8:24 p.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Roderick St. that negotiated an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Brennan R. Tabor was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Tabor’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and the vehicle he was operating did not have proper insurance a required by Louisiana Law. Tabor was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
