MCPD Arrest Report 04/30/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 137 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 04/27/2018:

Gene Blick, 57 years of age, address: Park Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/27/2018 @ 8:52 a.m.

Charges: F.T.A. to Pay Fines on 12/12/2017

Gene Blick was located and arrested in the area of Brashear Ave. on an active arrest warrant held by the Thibodaux Police Department. Blick was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph Thibodeaux 04272018

Joseph J. Thibodeaux, 20 years of age, address: W. Ivert St. Franklin, La., arrested on 04/27/2018 @ 12:50 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS

                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 01/30/2018

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to drug activity. Investigators arrived when Joseph J. Thibodeaux was identified. According to reports, Thibodeaux was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Thibodeaux was also found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia. Thibodeaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kentrell Davis 04272018

Kentrell A. Davis, 33 years of age, address: Freret St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/27/2018 @ 3:52 p.m.

                Obstruction of Justice

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division began an investigation in regards to the sales of suspected Methamphetamine. Investigators acting in an undercover capacity began conversing with a subject known as Lucious Romero. Romero and the undercover investigator negotiated the purchase of suspected Methamphetamine. They agreed to meet in the area of Second St. Romero and Kentrell A. Davis arrived at the location to conduct the alleged transaction. Upon investigators exiting their vehicle, Davis and Romero fled on foot. Romero was observed discarding a bag containing suspected Methamphetamine while fleeing. Both subjects were apprehended after a short chase. The investigation continued and it was learned that the suspected Methamphetamine was fake. A presumptive test revealed a negative result. Allegedly Davis and Romero were working together and after the transaction, Romero was going to compensate Davis. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Chad J. Fisher, 33 years of age, address: Burke Place Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/27/2018 @ 2:38 p.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of Front St. A stop was initiated when Chad J. Fisher was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Fisher was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Fisher was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Mario R. Lopez, 27 years of age, address: Ernest St. New Iberia, La., arrested on 04/27/2018 @ 7:58 p.m.

Charges: No Driver’s License
                 Switched License Plate
                 General Speed Law

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated at a high rate of speed in the area of Lake End Park. A stop was initiated when Mario R. Lopez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Lopez was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and the license plate that was displayed belonged to another vehicle. Lopez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Dayton Madison, 23 years of age, address: Hwy 318 Jeanerette, La, arrested on 04/27/2018 @ 11:37 p.m.

Claude Charlot 04282018

Claude M. Charlot, 24 years of age, address: MLK Blvd. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/27/2018 @ 11:37 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH IV CDS (Alprazolam)
                 Resisting an Officer

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Victor II Blvd and Greenwood St. in a lane that required a right turn upon reaching Greenwood St. The vehicle continued straight on Victor II Blvd. The officer attempted to initiate a stop on the vehicle when the vehicle refused to stop. The vehicle traveled to the area of a local business in the area of LA 182 when the passenger of the vehicle fled on foot. Dayton Madison was identified as the operator of the vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle who fled on foot was later apprehended and identified as Claud M. Charlot. According to reports, Madison was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and held active arrest warrants through the Jeanerette City Court. Charlot was found to be in possession of suspected Alprazolam. Madison and Charlot were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Alejandro Gutierrez-Valero, 32 years of age, address: Greenwood St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 2:24 a.m.

Charges: No Driver’s License
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fees

Patrol officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in the area of Halsey St. due to improper lighting. Alejandro Gutierrez-Valero was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Gutierrez-Valero was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and had an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Gutierrez-Valero was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jennifer L. Sauce, 40 years of age, address: Canal Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 6:57 a.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to an intoxicated subject. Officers arrived when Jennifer L. Sauce was identified. Sauce was found to be in an intoxicated state. Sauce was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

David Sons 04292018

David A. Sons, 45 years of age, address: Nevada St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 1:35 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Warrant: Monetary Instrument Abuse

David A. Sons was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. According to reports, Sons’ was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana when he was taken into custody. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on March 19, 2018, when officers responded to a local establishment in the area of LA 182 in regards to counterfeit money being exchanged. Officers arrived when David A. Sons was developed as the subject who exchanged the counterfeit money. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Sons’ arrest. Sons was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Julia Bailey 04292018

Julia Bailey, 57 years of age, address: Two Brothers Ln. Amelia, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 2:25 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of SCH II CDS W/I/T/D (Fentanyl)
                 Warrant: Possession of SCH II CDS W/I/T/D (Oxycodone)
                 Warrant: Obstruction of Justice
                 Warrant: Improper Equipment

Julia Bailey was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on January 30, 2018, when patrol officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in the area of LA 182 with improper equipment. Julia Bailey was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Bailey was found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl and Oxycodone. Bailey was observed chewing on a suspected Fentanyl patch in an attempt to avoid detection. Evidence was uncovered that the illicit drugs were intended for sale. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Bailey’s arrest. Bailey was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Scotty J. Adkins, 46 years of age, address: Oregon St. Berwick, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 5:01 p.m.

Jonathan E. Meyer, 35 years of age, address: Charlotte Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 5:36 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Patrol officers observed Scotty J. Adkins in a vehicle in the area of Catherine St. Adkins held an active arrest warrant through the 16th Judicial Court. A stop was initiated on the vehicle when Adkins and Jonathan E. Meyer were identified. According to reports, suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia was located in the vehicle in the area where Adkins and Meyer were sitting. Neither party claimed the illicit materials. Adkins and Meyer were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph Martinez, 28 years of age, address: Grandwood Apts. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/28/2018 @ 9:55 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Failure to Return Leased Merchandise
                 Driving under Suspension
                 Display of a Temporary License Plate

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of MLK Blvd without a visible license plate. A stop was initiated when Joseph Martinez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Martine’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Martinez was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 20, 2017, when officers responded to the area of Seventh St. in regards to a subject failing to return leased merchandise. Officers arrived when Joseph Martinez was identified. The investigation continued and a warrant was prepared for Martinez’ arrest. Martinez was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Leon E. Lipari, 35 years of age, address: Barrow St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 10:19 p.m.

Wilbert Poole 04292018

Wilbert Poole III, 24 years of age, address: Barrow St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 10:19 p.m.

Charges: Obstruction of Justice

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Barrow St. with improper lighting. A stop was initiated on the vehicle when Leon E. Lipari was identified. Two juveniles were also in the vehicle when the stop was initiated. According to reports, Lipari was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Amphetamine, Subutex, and a firearm. Lipari allegedly attempted to discard some of the pills out of his pocket in a pill bottle towards another subject identified as Wilbert Poole III who was in the area. Poole, who was familiar with Lipari, attempted to conceal the items that were thrown to him by Lipari. The vehicle was found to have a license plate displayed that belonged to another vehicle. Lipari was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 16th Judicial Court. Lipari and Poole were both arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Tommy D. Donati II, 35 years of age, address: Carter Ln. Berwick, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 11:55 p.m.

Charges: Criminal Trespassing

Heather D. LaCoste, 34 years of age, address: Marshall St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/29/2018 @ 11:55 p.m.

Charges: Criminal Trespassing

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of Fourth St. in regards to subjects entering a property that was abandoned. Officers arrived when Tommy D. Donati II, and Heather D. LaCoste were identified. According to reports, Donati and LaCoste had already been advised not to return to the property. Donati and LaCoste were both arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Sylvester L. Francois Jr., 20 years of age, address: Taft St. Patterson, La., arrested on 04/30/2018 @ 1:46 a.m.

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Resisting an Officer

Christopher Woods 04302018


Christopher D. Woods, 26 years of age, address: Eleventh St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 04/30/2018 @ 1:46 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Cocaine)

Patrol officers responded to the area of South Everett St. in regards to a narcotics complaint and that the subject were sitting in the vehicle honking the horn. Officers arrived when the vehicle was located and a stop initiated. According to reports, the operator of the vehicle and one of the passengers fled the area on foot. Another occupant was located who was identified as Christopher D. Woods. Woods was found to be in possession of suspected cocaine. The operator of the vehicle who fled on foot had returned and was identified as Sylvester L. Francois Jr. Francois was found to be in an intoxicated state. Francois Jr. and Woods were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail. Once at the jail Francois submitted to Chemical Test which he registered .000g% blood alcohol content. Use of illegal narcotics is suspected therefore urine analysis is pending. Woods and Francois Jr. were booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
