MCPD Arrest Report 05/08/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 51 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 05/07/2018:

Raven Piggot 05072018

Raven Piggot, 24 years of age, address: Robin St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 05/07/2018 @ 6:45 p.m.

Charges:
Warrant: Possession of a Legend Drug (Quetiapine Furmarate)

Raven Piggot was located and arrested in the area of Robin St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on April 4, 2018, when officers initiated a stop on a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner. Raven Piggot was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Piggot was found to be in possession of suspected Quetiapine Furmarate. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Piggot’s arrest. Piggot was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

David T. Francois, 46 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 05/07/2018 @ 9:17 p.m.

Charges: Resisting an Officer
                 Improper Equipment

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division were in the area of LA 70 when they observed a subject exit Brownell Homes on a Bicycle crossing over two lanes of travel. The bike was not equipped with any lighting or reflectors. Investigators attempted to stop and speak with the subject when the subject fled on the bike. The subject then began to flee on foot when he was apprehended. David T. Francois was identified. Francois was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Marquis J. Clark, 30 years of age, address: Gabriel St. Patterson, La., arrested on 05/08/2018 @ 4:39 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Improper Turning

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Marquis J. Clark was identified. According to reports, Clark was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Clark was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
