MCPD Arrest Report 05/10/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 45 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 05/09/2018:
Aketa R. Francis, 25 years of age, address: Egle St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 05/09/2018 @ 2:00 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Access Device Fraud
Aketa R. Francis was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on March 08, 2018 when officers responded to the front lobby of the Morgan City Police Department in regards to a theft. Francis was developed as a suspect in the investigation. According to reports, Francis allegedly used the victims debit card to purchase items without authorization. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Francis’ arrest. Francis was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Angela S. Adams, 45 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 05/09/2018 @ 8:45 p.m.

Possession of a Legend Drug (Trazadone)

Dan T. Mouzakis, 55 years of age, address: Pharr St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 05/09/2018 @ 8:45 p.m.
Charges: Possession of a Legend Drug (Gabapentin)
Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle
Warrant: Probation Violation
Patrol officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in the area of Roderick St. with an expired license plate. Angela S. Adams was identified as the operator of the vehicle and Dan T. Mouzakis was an occupant. According to reports, Adams was found to be in possession of suspected Lyrica, Tizanidine, and Trazadone. Mouzakis was found to be in possession of Gabapentin and an open alcoholic beverage. Neither was able to provide valid prescriptions for the medication located. Mouzakis was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Ashley T. Francois, 31 years of age, address: Lauraline St. New Orleans, La., arrested on 05/10/2018 @ 1:49 a.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
No Driver’s License
Improper Turning
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Ashley T. Francois was identified. According to reports, Francois was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Francois was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
