MCPD Arrest Report 05/17/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 36 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 05/16/2018:

Jared Loupe 05172018

Jared P. Loupe, 40 years of age, address: Rose St. Berwick, La., arrested on 05/16/2018 @ 10:49 a.m.

Charges:  Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Warrant: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine) W/I/T/D
                  Warrant: Possession of SCH I CDS (Heroin)
                  Warrant: Possession of SCH IV CDS (Alprazolam)
                  Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Warrant: Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile

Jared P. Loupe was located and arrested in the area of Louisa St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. When taking Loupe into custody he was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on April 3, 2018, when officers responded to the area of Louisa St. in regards to a medical emergency. Officers arrived when Loupe was identified as the one needing medical attention. According to reports, Loupe was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Heroin, Alprazolam, and Drug Paraphernalia. Two small children ranging from the ages of 1 to 2 were in the home when the incident had taken place. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Loupe’s arrest. Loupe was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Timothy Collier, 19 years of age, address: Apple St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 05/16/2018 @ 1:59 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 05/08/2018
                 Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information

Timothy Collier was located and arrested in the area of South Railroad Ave. on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. According to reports, upon initial contact with Collier, he provided officers with a false name. Collier was eventually identified when he was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
