MCPD Arrest Report 05/21/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 120 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 05/18/2018:
Zacolby Granger, 26 years of age, Address, Grace St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/18/2018 @ 2:42 pm.

Possession of Sch II CDS- Crack Cocaine
The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle in the area of Allison St. fail to use its turn signal, while turning into a parking lot of a local business. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Zacolby Granger. According to reports, while talking to Granger, an officer noticed suspected marijuana in plain view on the passenger floorboard. A search of the vehicle was conducted and suspected crack cocaine was also found inside the vehicle. Granger was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
Thalassa Frickey, 40 years of age, Address, Pecos St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/18/2018 @ 5:34 pm.

Officers responded to a minor vehicle crash in the area of LA Hwy 182 and Myrtle St. Thalassa Frickey was identified as one of the drivers. A computer check revealed that Frickey’s driver’s license was suspended. Reports indicate that officers noticed a 3-year-old child improperly restrained in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Frickey also held active warrants for the 16th Judicial District Court. Frickey was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
Donavan Francisco Jr., 36 years of age, Address, Robertson St. New Iberia, La. was arrested on 05/18/2018 @ 7:11 pm.
Charge: Simple Battery

Officers responded to a residence on Wren St. in regards to a disturbance. Donavan Francisco Jr. was identified as being involved in the disturbance. According to reports, the victim stated that she and Francisco were having a verbal altercation, which escalated to him committing a battery on the victim and threatening the victim with a knife. Officers located Francisco along with the knife outside of the residence. Francisco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
Jake M. Leger, 26 years of age, Address, N Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, La. was arrested on 05/19/2018 @ 1:56 am.

Angelle M. Price, 22 years of age, Address, Chauvin, La. was arrested on 05/19/2018 @ 2:00 am.

A patrol officer noticed a vehicle at the intersection of LA Hwy 182 and Myrtle St. stopped at the traffic signal. According to reports, the officer noticed that the vehicle still had not moved even though the traffic signal was green. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer spoke to the passenger, Angelle Price. According to reports, Price stated that she and the driver, Jake Leger had gotten into an argument. Leger stopped at the traffic signal and exited the vehicle. Officers were able to locate Leger, who was placed under arrest. Reports state that while trying transport Leger, Price stood in front of the police unit refusing to move. Price was placed under arrest. Both subjects were transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
Jose A. Melendez, 32 years of age, Address, Sebby Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2018 @ 2:12 am.

Officers responded to a residence on Wren St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and located the victim outside of the residence. According to reports, the victim stated that her boyfriend, Jose Melendez had committed a battery on her and damaged her vehicle. Officers did notice evidence that a battery had been committed on the victim. Melendez was located inside the residence and placed under arrest. Melendez was transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
Troy J. Charpentier, 37 years of age, Address, LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2018 @ 11:01 am.

An officer in the area of Victor II Blvd. and Cottonwood St. observed a disturbance between a male and female. Reports indicate that the officer observed the male grab the female by the arm. The officer made contact with the individuals and the male was identified as Troy Charpentier. Charpentier gave the officer permission to pad him down. The officer located on Charpentier suspected heroin, methamphetamine, and suboxone. Charpentier was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
Adam L. Domingue, 34 years of age, Address, New Iberia, La. was arrested on 05/19/2018 @ 4:22 pm.
Charge: Violation of Protective Order
Tiffanie Domingue, 45 years of age, Address, New Iberia, La. was arrested on 05/19/2018 @ 4:22 pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language
Officers working security at Lake End Park observed an individual using profanity and causing a disturbance. The individual was identified as Tifffanie Domingue who was told to calm down but continued to yell. According to reports, Tiffanie stated that she has a protective order against her ex-husband, Adam Domingue and both had gotten into a verbal altercation. Officers were able to verify the order of protection. Adam was located and while officers were speaking to Adam, Tiffanie continued to yell profanities. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
Elton J. Landry, 56 years of age, Address, Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was placed under arrest on 05/19/2018 @ 8:43 pm.

A patrol officer observed a vehicle in the area of LA Hwy 182 and Martin Luther King Blvd traveling at a speed higher than what is posted. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Roderic Clay. According to reports, the officer could smell the odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed an open bottle of alcohol. Officers were able to locate suspected marijuana and a pill identified as hydrocodone. A firearm was also located inside the vehicle. A computer check revealed that Clay has a prior felony conviction that prohibits him from owning a firearm.
Jonathan J. Humphrey, 37 years of age, Address, Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/21/2018 @ 1:00 am.

Jonathan Humphrey was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic stop. Humphrey was found to have an active warrant for the 16th Judicial District Court. Humphrey was also in possession of suspected marijuana. Humphery was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking and incarceration.
