Arrest Report 03/27/2014

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 03/26/2014:

 

Lee P. Pierce, 30 years of age, Address-Maple St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/26/2014 @ 10:00am

Charge: Warrant: Resisting an Officer

Lee Pierce was located in the parking lot of the Morgan City Police Department and arrested on an oustanding warrant.  He was booked and incarcerated into the Morgan City Police Department jail facility. 

 

Bryan K. Maize, 34 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/26/2014 @ 11:36am

Charge: Resisting an Officer; Warrant: Attempted unauthorized Entry into an Inhabited Dwelling; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Littering; Warrant: Failure to Pay Restitution-Contempt of Court

Officers traveled to the Brownell Homes area to locate Bryan Maize who was wanted on outstanding warrants stemming from an incident from February 2014 in which Maize was accused of attempting to enter a residence.  Maize was also wanted on two other outstanding warrants for the City Court of Morgan City.  The officers went to a Cardinal St. residence and attempted to locate Maize when he made an attempt to escape through a bedroom window.  Officers pursued Maize and captured him a short distance later at which time he was physically subdued, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Stella L. Miller, 49 years of age, Address-Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 03/26/2014 @ 1:19pm

Officers were dispatched to a Seventh St. pharmacy in regards to a forged prescription.  When officers arrived they were advised that a male and female subject came into the pharmacy and attempted to use forged presctiptions to obtain Roxicodone, a Schedule II CDS.  As officers were investigating, the subjects returned to the pharmacy and were detained.  The subjects, Willie Coleman and Stella Miller admitted to officers that they traveled from the Baton Rouge area in order to obtain the drug using the forged documents.  Willie Coleman was also found to possess suspected marijuana in his possession. Both were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. 

 

Bennie A. Charles, 28 years of age, Address-Arizona St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/26/2014 @ 5:50pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fee; Warrant: Probation Violation

A patrolling officer located Bennie Charles at the intersection of Headland St. and Railroad Ave. and placed him under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated.
