MCPD Arrest Report 06/20/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 53 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/19/2018:

Titus C. Trimm, 33 years of age, address: Patton St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/19/2018 @ 10:50 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Insurance Fraud

Titus C. Trimm was located and arrested in the area of Patton St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Louisiana State Police Troop I. Trimm was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kerry Martin, 21 years of age, address: Garber St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/19/2018 @ 11:30 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 05/29/2018 (4 counts)

Kerry Martin was located and arrested in the area of Garber St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Martin was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Trey M. Estelle, 26 years of age, address: Carla Ct. New Iberia, La., arrested on 06/19/2018 @ 9:06 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation & Parole

Trey M. Estelle was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on an active arrest warrant held by the Louisiana Probation & Parole. Estelle was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Gerald Sylvester 06192018

Gerald A. Sylvester, 29 years of age, address: Short St. Morgan City, La. arrested on 06/19/2018 @ 9:44 p.m.

Charges:  Domestic Abuse Battery- Child Endangerment Law
                  Warrant: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fifth St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Gerald A. Sylvester was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Sylvester allegedly struck the victim during a verbal altercation. A small child was present during the incident. Sylvester was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division on March 08, 2018 when they responded to the area Railroad Ave. due to a shooting that had taken place. Gerald Sylvester was identified as one of the parties involved in this incident. It was discovered during the investigation Sylvester possessed a firearm during the shooting. It was found that Sylvester was a convicted felon which prohibited him from possessing a firearm. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Sylvester’s arrest. Sylvester was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
