MCPD Arrest Report 06/21/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 37 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/20/2018:
Lindsay M. Horowitz, 40 years of age, address: Wooddale Blvd Baton Rouge, La., arrested on 06/20/2018 @ 1:19 p.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of Juveniles
Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of Ninth St. in regards to a narcotics complaint. Officers arrived when Lindsay M. Horowitz was identified. According to reports, Horowitz was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. A small child was located in the room with Horowitz. Horowitz was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Carl Singleton, 22 years of age, address: Garber St. Morgan City, La. arrested on 06/20/2018 @ 6:00 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Possession of SCH II CDS (Cocaine)
Warrant: Possession of SCH II CDS (Amphetamine Salts)
Warrant: Production of Crack Cocaine
Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Probation Fee on 09/05/2017
Carl Singleton was located and arrested in the area of Garber St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police and 6th Ward Morgan City Court. The warrants from the Morgan City Police stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division on June 5, 2018, when a search warrant was executed in the area of Garber St. According to reports, Carl Singleton was identified during the investigation. Singleton was found to be in possession of suspected Cocaine, Amphetamine Salts, Drug Paraphernalia, and materials used in the production of Crack Cocaine. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Singleton’s arrest. Singleton was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
David T. Francois, 46 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/20/2018 @ 8:34 p.m.
Charges: Entry or Remaining in Places after being Forbidden
Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division were patrolling the area of Brownell Homes when they encountered David T. Francois. Francois was previously barred from entering upon Housing Authority Properties. Francois was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
