MCPD Arrest Report 06/26/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/25/2018:
Larry Lim, 34 years of age, address: Dewey Pt. San Antonio, Tx., arrested on 06/24/2018 @ 3:10 a.m.
Charges: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
Improper Turning
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Allison negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Larry Lim was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Lim was found to be in an intoxicated state. Lim performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Lim was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical testing which he submitted to registering .194g% blood alcohol content. Lim was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Donald R. Grubbs II, 38 years of age, address: Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, La., arrested on 06/25/2018 @ 7:20 a.m.
Charges: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
Improper Turning
Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 70 in regards to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. Officers arrived and located a vehicle fitting the description that was provided. The vehicle was observed negotiating an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Donald R. Grubbs II was identified as the operator. According to reports, Grubbs was found to be in an intoxicated state. Grubbs performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. There was an indication that Grubbs was under the influence of prescription medication. Grubbs was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he submitted to registering .000g% blood alcohol content. A blood specimen was obtained from Grubbs which is pending analysis at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. Grubbs was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Christy Reed, 24 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/25/2018 @ 10:00 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: Theft under $1,000
Christy Reed was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 18, 2018, when Reed allegedly took items valued at $65.84 from a local business in the area of LA 182 without paying for them. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for her arrest. Reed was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Jalen Walker, 26 years of age, address: Willow St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/25/2018 @ 4:02 p.m.
Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery
Patrol officers responded to the area of Willow St. in regards to a battery that had been committed. Officers arrived when Jalen Walker was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Walker allegedly struck the victim during a verbal altercation. Walker was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Korianne M. Parker, 29 years of age, address: Carol Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/25/2018 @ 2:59 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Theft under $1,000
Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Patrol officers observed a female walking in the area of LA 182 that appeared to be in a very inebriated condition. A stop was initiated when Korianne M. Parker was identified. Parker was found to be in an intoxicated state. Parker was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division on June 8, 2018, when Parker allegedly took two air conditioners valued at $530 from a residence after being evicted. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Parker’s arrest. Parker was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
David A. Sons, 45 years of age, address: Nevada St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/25/2018 @ 6:30 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 06/19/2018
David A. Sons was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Sons was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
