MCPD Arrest Report 07/06/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 43 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/05/2018:
Shade Suire, 25 years of age, address: Chestnut Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/05/2018 @ 10:01 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Drug Court on 07/02/2018 (4 counts)
Shade Suire was located and arrested in the area of Chestnut Dr. on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Suire was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Meghan R. Scarbrough, 30 years of age, address: Hwy 668 Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/05/2018 @ 12:00 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 12/01/2015
Meghan R. Scarbrough was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Scarbrough was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Matthew T. Rollins, 24 years of age, address: Diane Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 07/05/2018 @ 4:06 p.m.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a removal of a subject. Officers arrived when Matthew T. Rollins was identified. Rollins was found to be in an intoxicated state. Rollins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 12/01/2015
Meghan R. Scarbrough was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Scarbrough was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Matthew T. Rollins, 24 years of age, address: Diane Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 07/05/2018 @ 4:06 p.m.

Jaleesha Hamilton, 38 years of age, Mississippi, arrested on 07/05/2018 @ 7:13 p.m.
Charges: Theft under $1,000
Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Seventh St. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived when Jaleesha Hamilton was identified. According to reports, Hamilton allegedly took items valued at $25.73 without paying for them. Hamilton was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Tyler Brewer, 25 years of age, address: Charlotte Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 07/06/2018 @ 2:45 a.m.
Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery
Tyler Brewer was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 5, 2018, when officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and learned that the parties involved had already departed the scene. The victim later filed a report with the Morgan City Police Department in regards to a battery that had been committed. Tyler Brewer was identified during the investigation. Allegedly Brewer struck the victim during an altercation. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Brewer’s arrest. Brewer was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Charges: Theft under $1,000

The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 5, 2018, when officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance.
