MCPD Arrest Report 07/31/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 50 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/30/2018:

Turner Markita 07302018
 

Markita L. Turner, 28 years of age, Address- Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/30/2018 @ 6:11 pm.

Charge: Theft under $ $1000.00

   Officers responded to a local business on LA Hwy 70 in regards to a shoplifter. When officers arrived, management had detained Markita Turner.  According to reports, Turner tried leaving the business with items she did not purchase. Reports indicate that Turner admitted to the theft of items totaling $46.75.  Turner was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Toby D. Everage, 19 years of age, Address- Fairview Dr. Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/31/2018 @ 2:33 am.

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Illegal Use of CDS in Presence of Person Under 17

   Officers responded to a local motel on LA Hwy 182 in regards to possible illegal drug activity. Officers arrived and made contact with two individuals identified as Toby Everage and 15-year-old male juvenile at one of the rooms. While speaking with the individuals, officers could smell an odor of marijuana emitting from the room. Officers were given consent to search the room; suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Both Everage and the juvenile were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. The juvenile was released to a guardian. Everage was incarcerated.


Frankie L. Tarver, 29 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/31/2018 @ 6:29 am.

Charge:  Criminal Damage to Property

  Officers responded to a residence on Eleventh St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived the victim stated that Frankie Tarver had flattened one of the tires of her vehicle.  Offices made contact with Tarver, who according to reports, admitted to damaging the tire.  Tarver was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
