MCPD Arrest Report 08/02/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 08/01/2018:


Colby T. Nicholas, 18 years of age, Address- Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/01/2018 @ 5:07 pm.

Charge:  Remaining After Being Forbidden

   An officer observed an individual identified as Colby Nicholas in the Brownell Homes Housing Authority area. Nicholas had previously been barred from all property of the Morgan City Housing Authority. Officers made contact with Nicholas and placed him under arrest. Nicholas was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Christopher D. Woods, 26 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/01/2018 @ 8:23 pm.

Charge:  Warrant-Probation Violation

   Christopher Woods was located at a motel on LA Hwy 182 and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole.  Woods was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Kristi Dupuy, 18 years of age, Address- Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/01/2018 @ 9:56 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of Person Under 17

Kade M. Percle, 18 years of age, Address- Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/01/2018 @ 9:56 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession with Intent to Distribute Sch IV CDS- Xanax
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of Person Under 17

   The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division responded to an apartment complex on Roderick St. in regards to illegal drug activity. Officers made contact with two individuals at one of the apartments who were identified as Kristi Dupuy and Kade Percle.  Also present inside the residence were two juveniles under the age of 17. According to reports, officers could smell an odor of marijuana emitting from the apartment, while speaking to the individuals. Dupuy gave officers consent to search the apartment. Officers were able to locate suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officers also located a large number of pills identified as Xanax in Percle’s possession. Dupuy and Percle were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
