MCPD Arrest Report 08/15/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 51 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning 08/14/2018:
Alton Brashear, 67 years of age, Address- S. Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/14/2018 @ 8:25 am.
Charge: Warrant-Theft under $1000.00
Alton Brashear was located at his residence and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in March where it is alleged that Brashear had stolen an item from an individual valued at $100.00. Brashear was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Edward A. Briggs Jr, 29 years of age, Address- Westwego, La. was arrested on 08/14/2018 @ 8:32 am.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines
Warrant- Failure to Appear for Arraignment

Caleb M. Daigle, 17 years of age, Address- Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/14/2018 @ 10:35 am.

Officers responded to Lake End Park on LA Hwy 70 in regards to an individual exposing his genitals. Officers arrived and Carl LeBlanc was identified as the suspect. According to reports, witnesses stated that they observed LeBlanc expose his genitals and appeared to be masturbating. After gathering statements and evidence, LeBlanc was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
