MCPD Arrest Report 09/05/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 52 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/04/2018:
Shundren K. Johnson, 22 years of age, Address-Tiffany St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 8:51 am.
Charge: Warrant- Probation Violation
Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines
Warrant- Failure to Pay Probation Fines
Shundren Johnson was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Johnson was booked and incarcerated.
Darell J. Gash, 37 years of age, Address- Harry D St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 11:08 am.
Charge: Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
Disturbing the Peace
Officers responded to a residence on Chester Bowels in regards an individual entering a home without permission. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim, who stated that the individual identified as Darell Gash had opened her front door and walked inside her home. The victim also stated that she did not know Gash. Officer located Gash outside of the residence and he appeared to be under the influence of an illegal narcotic. Gash was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jude Resignola Jr, 23 years of age, Address-Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 12:32 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Probation Violation
Jude Resignola was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Resignola was booked and incarcerated.
Richard Adams, 57 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 11:37 am.
Charge: Warrant- Criminal Mischief- Filing a False Complaint
Richard Adams was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the department. The warrant stems from an incident in March of 2017 in which Adams allegedly filed a false complaint on an individual. Adams was booked and incarcerated.
Arne Brewer, 52 years of age, Address-Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 12:00 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Probation Violation
Arne Brewer was located at her residence on Federal Ave. and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Brewer was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Alfred Johnson, 53 years of age, Address- Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 2:47 pm.
Charge: Theft under $1000.00
Officers responded to a local business on Brashear Ave. in regards to a theft. According to reports, the victim stated that he parked his bicycle in front of the business and when he returned, his bicycle was gone. Video surveillance was reviewed and the suspect was identified as Alfred Johnson. Johnson was located in the area of Fifth St. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Austin C. Williams, 19 years of age, Address-First St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 3:17 pm.

Resisting an Officer
Officers responded to a local business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to an individual refusing to pay a bar tab. Officers arrived and spoke to management. Management stated that the individual identified as Harpreet Singh was asked several times to pay his bar tab, but he refused to pay. Officers made contact with Singh and when asked about the bar tab, Singh still refused to pay. When trying to place Singh under arrest, he began to resist officers, but he was later subdued. Singh was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Lawrence Francois, 48 years of age, Address-Orange St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/04/2018 @ 5:17 pm.

Resisting an Officer
Officers responded to a residence on Orange St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with Lawrence Francois who was arguing with another individual. Francois was told to calm down several times but continued to yell and use profanities. When placing Francois under arrest, he began to resist officers, he was later subdued. Francois was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chad Adams was located on Railroad Ave. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Officers also located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Adams’ possession. Adams was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
