MCPD Arrest Report 09/07/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 42 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/06/2018:

Alyssa Acosta, 26 years of age, Address- Eighth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/06/2018 @ 2:14 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Probation Violation

   Alyssa Acosta was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City for an active warrant she held. Acosta was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kerry Renthrope 09062018

Kerry Renthrope Jr, 48 years of age, Address- Martin Luther King Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/06/2018 @ 7:40 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Probation and Parole
               Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation
               Obstruction of Justice- Tampering with Evidence

   Officers responded to a residence on Canary St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with the victim who stated that she and her boyfriend, Kerry Renthrope had gotten into a verbal altercation that later turned physical. The victim also alleges that Renthrope choked her during the altercation. Officers did observe marks and bruises on the victim consistent with her statements. Officers were able to locate Renthrope outside of the residence. According to reports, Renthrope did admit to the battery on the victim and trying to remove any evidence that a battery had taken place. A warrant check on Renthrope revealed that he held an active warrant with the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole. Renthrope was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Terrel Bullock 09062018

Terrell V. Bullock, 25 years of age, Address- Degravelle Rd. Amelia, La. was arrested on 09/06/2018 @ 9:48 pm.


Charge:  Attempted Possession of Marijuana

   The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted an undercover operation at a local motel on LA Hwy 182. According to reports, the undercover officer made contact with an individual identified as Terrell Bullock, who agreed to purchase marijuana for the undercover officer. When Bullock arrived at the location, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
