MCPD Arrest Report 09/17/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 130 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/14/2018:

Christina A. Breaux, 25 years of age, Address- Olive St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/14/2018 @ 8:09 am.

Charge:  Warrant-Failure to Appear No Driver’s License

   Christina Breaux was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Breaux was booked and incarcerated.

Kade Percle 09142018

Kade M. Percle, 22 years of age, Address- N. Everett St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/14/2018 @ 9:45 am.

   Charge: Warrant- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

   Kade Percle was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the department. The warrant stems from an incident in August which alleges that Percle was in possession of suspected marijuana that was packaged for sale. Percle was booked and incarcerated.

Terrell Irvin, 20 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/14/2018 @ 11:53 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines

   Terrell Irvin was located in the area of Ditch Ave. near Sixth St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Irvin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Dany D. Garcia-Hernandez 36 years of age, Address- Fairview Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/14/2018 @ 11:25 pm.

Charge: No Driver’s License
               Illuminating Devices Required

     A patrol officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 and David Dr. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Dany Garcia-Hernandez was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Garcia-Hernandez did not have a driver’s license. Garcia-Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jerry L. Livingston, 55 years of age, Address- New Iberia, La. was arrested on 09/15/2018 @ 2:53 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
                Speeding

   A patrol officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Eleventh St. observed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed limit. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Jerry Livingston was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Livingston appeared intoxicated. Livingston was asked to perform the Standard Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Livingston was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Livingston submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Livingston results yielded a .149g% blood alcohol content. Livingston was booked and incarcerated.

Jarvis D. Granger, 32 years of age, Address- Joseph St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/15/2018 @ 10:42 am.

Joshua Lousteau, 38 years of age, Address- Elizabeth Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/15/2018 @ 1042 am.

Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

      An officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 and Ditch Ave observed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed limit.  A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Jarvis Granger was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Granger’s license was under suspension. The passenger in the vehicle, Joshua Lousteau was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both Granger and Lousteau were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Jared A. LaCoste, 36 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 2:06 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
              Careless Operation

     A patrol officer in the area of Terrebonne and Front St. observed a vehicle traveling at a rate higher than the posted speed limit. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Jared LaCoste was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that the officer could smell an odor of alcohol emitting from LaCoste’s breath. LaCoste was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test in which he performed poorly. LaCoste was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, LaCoste submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. LaCoste results yielded a .228g% blood alcohol content. LaCoste was booked and incarcerated.

Eduard Cabrera, 36 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 2:55 am.

Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
                Improper Lane Usage

     A patrol officer in the area of Sixth and Arenz St. observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lane of travel on Sixth St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Eduard Cabrera was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Cabrera appeared intoxicated and the smell of alcohol was emitting from his breath. Cabrera was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and performed poorly. Cabrera was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Cabrera submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and he yielded a result of .153g% of blood alcohol content. Cabrera was booked and incarcerated.

Joaquima J. Brown, 24 years of age, Address- Martin Luther King St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 09/15/2018 @ 1:56 pm.

Charge: Improper Lane Usage
               No Driver’s License
               Warrant-Failure to Appear

   An officer in the area of Federal and Brashear Ave. observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Joaquima Brown was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Brown did not have a valid driver’s license. It was also determined that Brown had an active warrant for the 16th Judicial District Court. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Elton Brown Jr, 53 years of age, Address-Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/15/2018 @ 11:12 pm.

                 Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle

   An officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 and David Dr. observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Elton Brown was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Brown appeared intoxicated. Brown was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test but refused. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Brown submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded a .125g% blood alcohol content. Brown was booked and incarcerated.

Romel J. Anderson, 38 years of age, Address- Baker, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 8:12 am.

Charge: Driving Under Suspension
               Turning Movements and Required Signals

    Romel Anderson was involved in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Victor II Blvd. and Brashear Ave. A computer check revealed that Anderson’s driver’s license was suspended. Anderson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jesse L. Comeaux Sr, 49 years of age, Address-Franklin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 10:45 am.

Charge: Warrant- Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language
                Warrant- Simple Assault

      Jesse Comeaux was located at his residence and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an incident in June that alleges Comeaux caused a disturbance and threatened an individual. Comeaux was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Charles A. Watts Jr, 21 years of age, Address- Willow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 12:45 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)

   Charles Watts was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Watts was booked and incarcerated.

Donald Busse 09162018

Donald J. Busse, 51 years of age, Address- Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 8:14 pm.

Charge: Battery on a Police Officer

Robert J. Gussman Jr, 46 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 8:14 pm.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Obstruction of Justice- Tampering with Evidence

      Officers responded to a local motel on Brashear Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived at one of the rooms and made contact with Donald Busse. According to reports, Busse committed a battery on one of the officers. Officers then made contact with Robert Gussman inside the room and he was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Gussman also tried to destroy evidence. Both Busse and Gussman were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Raven Piggot 09162018

Raven Piggot, 24 years of age, Address- Carol Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2018 @ 4:14 pm.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
               Possession of Sch IV CDS – Xanax
               Possession of a Legend Drug- Hydroxyzine

   Officers responded to a residence on Belanger St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with an individual identified as Raven Piggot. During the course of the investigation, Piggot was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, pills identified as Xanax and Hydroxyzine for which she did not have a prescription. Piggot was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
