MCPD Arrest Report 09/25/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 53 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/24/2018:
Jmahdrea Z. Giles, 21 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/24/2018 @ 7:56 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Warrant-Failure to Appear for Arraignment
Jmahdrea Giles was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped for a traffic violation. Giles was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A warrant check also revealed that Giles held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Giles was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Raven Piggot, 24 years of age, Address- Carol Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/24/2018 @ 11:17 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense

Joseph A. Cagnolatti, 23 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/24/2018 @ 11:17 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
Illegal Use of CDS in Presence of Person under 17 years of age
An officer in the area of LA Hwy 70 observed a vehicle traveling with no headlights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Raven Piggot was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Piggot appeared under the influence of some type of illegal narcotic. The officer also observed a small child inside the vehicle, along with another passenger identified as Joseph Cagnolatti. A warrant check revealed that Piggot held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Also, suspected marijuana was found inside the vehicle. Both Piggot and Cagnolatti were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. The child was released to a legal guardian. Once at the police department, Piggot submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and her results yielded a .000g% of blood alcohol content. A search warrant was obtained for a blood sample to be drawn from Piggot. Piggot was transported to a local medical facility for the sample to be drawn and those results are pending. Piggot was transported back to the police department where she and Cagnolattie were both booked and incarcerated.
