The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 04/07/2014:

 

Matthew J. Miller, 20 years of age, Address-Gen Clark Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/07/2014 @ 11:43am

Charge: Possession of Cocaine

Officers observed a subject acting in a suspicious manner in the area near Union St. and stopped the subject to investigate.  The subject, Matthew Miller was found to possess several pieces of suspected crack cocaine.  He was arrested, transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Christina L. Pitre, 37 years of age, Fourth St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 04/07/2014 @ 2:35pm

Charge: Warrant: St. Mary Parish-Possession of Schedule II CDS; Possession of Schedule III CDS; Possession of Schedule IV CDS; Possession of a Legend Drug

Christina L. Pitre 04042014

Christina Pitre, who was incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility was booked and re-incarcerated on an outstanding warrant for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department Narcotics Division.  She remains incarcerated. 

 

Dequante Wesley, 20 years of age, Address-Orange St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/07/2014 @ 3:49pm

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law (Drug Free Zone)

Nhirobi H. Dewey, 17 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/07/2014 @ 3:49pm

Charge: Possession of Marijuana; Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law

Officers were dispatched to a Brownell Homes residence in regards to illegal narcotics activity.  Officers arrived at that location and encountered several subjects.  Upon speaking to the subjects they appeared nervous and had signs of illegal drug use.  Two subjects, Nhirobi Dewey and Dequante Wesley were found to possess suspected marijuana and were subsequently arrested.  The area is a public housing area deemed as a drug free zone.  The subjects were additionally charged.  They were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
