MCPD Arrest Report 10/12/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 41 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 10/11/2018:

Molly Compagno 10112018

Molly F. Compagno, 34 years of age, Address-Fern St. New Orleans, La. was arrested on 10/11/2018 @ 10:40 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
               Resisting an Officer
               Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Sch I CDS-Psilocybin Mushrooms
               Possession of Sch IV CDS-Alprazolam
               Possession of a Legend Drug (2cts)

     Officers responded to a local motel on LA Hwy 182 in regards to an individual intoxicated outside one of the rooms. Officers arrived and made contact with the individual identified as Molly Compagno. Reports indicate that Compagno did appear intoxicated. When officers tried placing Compagno under arrest she began to resist but was later subdued. Officers also located in Compagno’s possession suspected marijuana, suspected psilocybin mushroom, pills identified as alprazolam, cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride, tizanidine hydrochloride, and drug paraphernalia. Compagno was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Zackary Johnson 10112018

Zackery D. Johnson, 33 years of age, Address-Moffett Court Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2018 @ 12:53 pm.

Charge: Resisting an Officer
               Possession of Sch II-Methamphetamine
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Kayla Comeaux 10112018

Kayla L. Comeaux, 30 years of age, Address- Moffett Court Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2018 @12:53 pm.

Charge: Possession of Sch III-Suboxone
              Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
              Introduction of Contraband in a Penal Institute

   Officers responded to the area of Seventh St. near Brashear Ave. in regards to two individuals sitting inside a vehicle possibly doing illegal narcotics. Officers arrived located the vehicle and identified Zackery Johnson and Kayla Comeaux inside the vehicle. Reports indicate that both individuals appeared to be under some type of illegal narcotic. During the course of the investigation, officers located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Johnson’s possession. Comeaux was found to have suspected suboxone and drug paraphernalia in her possession. Both Johnson and Comeaux were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, an officer located suspected suboxone inside Comeaux’s underwear. Johnson and Comeaux were booked and incarcerated.

Craig Free 10112018

Craig M. Free, 32 years of age, Address-River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/11/2018 @ 5:56 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Theft $1000.00-$5000.00

   Craig Free was located on Egle St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in September that alleges that Free had gone to a residence and had taken several items from inside the home. Free was booked and incarcerated.

Manuel M. Rodriguez, 45 years of age, Address-Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2018 @ 10:05 pm.

Charge: No Tail Lamps
               No Driver’s License

   An officer on LA Hwy 182 observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Manuel Rodriguez was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Rodriguez did not have a valid driver’s license. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Tiffany L. Randolph, 29 years of age, Address-Big Bear Lane Franklin, La. was arrested on 10/12/2018 @ 1:14 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial (2cts)

   Tiffany Randolph was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Randolph was booked and incarcerated.

Donte J. Harris, 22 years of age, Address-Mount St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/12/2018 @ 4:30 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines
               Resisting an Officer
               Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information
               Criminal Trespass

   Officers responded to the area of Oak St. and Railroad Ave. in regards to an individual shining a flashlight into yards. Officers arrived and located the individual, who began to flee from officers. The individual was apprehended a short time later. The individual was identified as Donte Harris but originally had given officers a false name. A computer check revealed that Harris held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Harris was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
