MCPD Arrest report for 10/17/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 47 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 10/16/2018:

 

Javier Castro, 30 years of age, Address-Hwy 70 Morgan City,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @ 7:13 am

 

Charges: Speeding(School Zone)

                 Driving Under Suspension
                 Warrant: City Court Morgan City-Failure to Appear Careless Operation
                 Warrant: City Court Morgan City-Failure to Appear Improper Lane Use
                
Warrant: City Court Morgan City-Failure to Appear No Drivers License

 

An officers patrolling near a school zone observed a vehicle that appeared to be speeding.  The vehicle was found to be speeding 29 mph in a 15 mph.  The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver identified as Javier Castro.  Castro advised the officer that his license was suspended; a warrants check also showed that Castro had several warrants from City Court of Morgan City.  Castro was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

 

Trinity Harris, 19 years of age, Address-Eleventh St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @ 9:05 am

 

Charges: Remaining after being forbidden
                 Aggravated Battery

 

Kayla Francise,20 years of age,Address-Keith St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @9:11 am

 

Charges: Possession of Marijuana 3rd Offense
                Disturbing the Peace Fighting

 

Officers were called to a Brashear Ave business about a fight taking place.  Officers arrived on scene and located.  Officers arrived and detained several subjects believed to be involved in the fight.  Statements from witnesses reveled tat Francise was called to the business and up arrival was hit with an object that was thrown by Harris.  It was also learned that Harris had been told before Francis arrived that she need to the leave the business but refused to do so. During the investigation Francise was found to have suspected marijuana in her possession.  Both subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

 

Anthony Harris-22 years of age, Address-Arizona St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @ 10:53 am

 

Charges:Warrant City Court of Morgan City-Failure to appear for Possession of Marijuana

 

Harris turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked on warrants from City Court of Morgan City.

 

 

Harlene L. Defils, 22 years of age, Address-Edward Ln, Jeanerette,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @ 2:21 am

 

Charges: Stop Sign Violation
                 Possession of Sch I-Marijuana
                
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

 

An officer in the area of Victor II Blvd an observed vehicles not stop at a stop sign.  The Officer stopped the driver and spoke with them.  During the traffic stop the officer located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Defils was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

 

William Carr, 29 years of age,Address-Fern ST. Patterson,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @4:42 pm

Charges:Remaining after being forbidden
                Resisting an officer


 

Officers were called to Teche Regional Medical Center due to a subject refusing to leave.  Officer spoke with the subject who was refusing to leave after being treated by staff.  After several attempts to get Carr to leave by officers and staff Carr was placed under arrest.  Carr at this time began to resist officers while they were attempting to handcuff him.  Carr was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

 

 

Kevin Short Jr., 33 years of age, Address-N. Bayou Black Dr. Gibson,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @ 6:50 pm

 

Charges: Warrant City Court Morgan City-Probation Violation

 

Short turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked on warrants from City Court of Morgan City.

 

Colby Nicholas, 18 years of age, Address-Wren St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 10/16/2018 @ 7:32 pm

 

Charges: Battery of a Dating Partner

                 Cruelty to a Juvenile
                 Simple Battery
                 Warrant-Criminal Trespassing

 

Officers were called to an address on Roderick St.  Officers learned after speaking with the victim and witness that Nicholas was at the residence and after being brought to a second location struck the victim.  During the altercation Nicholas also struck a juvenile who was at the location.  Nicholas left the area but was located a short time later where he was arrested.  Officers also found Nicholas had a warrant form City Court of Morgan City for Criminal Trespassing.  Nicolas was transported to the Morgan City Police Department.

 

Brittan Boudreaux, 33 years of age, Address-Elizabeth Dr. Morgan City,La was arrested at 10:22 pm on 10/16/2018

 

Charges: Warrant FTA for City Court-Speeding
                
Warrant FTA for City Court-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                
Warrant FTA for City Court-Resisting an Officer
                 Warrant FTA for City Court-Criminal Trespassing
                 Warrant FTA for City Court-Attempted Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

 

Boudreaux was arrested at Morgan City Police Department after being transferred by another agency.  Boudreaux was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

 

 

Garrett Lemieux,52 years of age, Address-Cherrydale Ave, Baton Rouge,La, was arrested on 10/16/2016 @ 11:31 pm

 
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

 
Officers were called to Federal Ave due to someone knocking on a residence.  Officers were able to locate and identify Lemieux as the person who was at the residence knocking.  Officer determined that Lemieux was found to be intoxicated; he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

 

 
Spencer Robin,42 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 10/17/2018 @ 2:02 am.  

 
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

 
Spencer was arrested after officers were called to Egle St due a disturbance.  Officer arrived and located Spencer outside the residence yelling.  Spencer was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest.  Spencer was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
