MCPD Arrest Report 11/09/2018
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 39 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/08/2018:
Jonathan Ashley, 30 years of age, Address-Ninth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/08/2018 @ 1:40 pm.
Charge: Theft under $1000.00
Officers responded to a local business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and spoke to management who stated that an individual identified as Jonathan Ashley had tried leaving the store with items he had not purchased. Officers made contact with Ashley in the store and he reportedly admitted to taking the items. The items taken were valued at $40.62. Ashley was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Ciara V. Williams, 30 years of age, Address-Houston, TX was arrested on 11/08/2018 @ 8:50 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Probation Violation
Warrant-Failure Appear for Trial (6cts)
Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (6cts)
Ciara Williams was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the 16th Judicial District Court and the 6th Ward City Court. Williams was booked and incarcerated.
