Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 01/03/2019:

Miles Morgan 01032019

Miles Morgan, 31 years of age, Address- Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/03/2018 @ 9:45 am.

Charge: Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institute

Michael Mowery 0103209

Michael R. Mowery, 61 years of age, Address-Buna, TX was arrested on 01/03/2019 @ 9:45 am

Danyelle Morgan 01032019

Danyelle N. Morgan, 33 years of age, Address-River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 01/03/2019 @ 6:25 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Criminal Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband

  The Morgan City Police Department Detective Division began an investigation of inmates Miles Morgan and Michael Mowery, who are currently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility had conspired with another individual to have contraband brought into the jail. Through the course of the investigation, the other individual was identified as Danyelle Morgan.  A warrant was then filed for Danyelle’s arrest. At 6:25 pm, Danyelle Morgan was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department. Danyelle was booked and incarcerated. Miles Morgan and Michael Mowery were additionally charged and continue to be incarcerated.

Rena K. Wilson, 39 years of age, Address-Snead St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 01/03/2019 @ 1:00 pm.

Charge:   Warrant-Probation Violation (3cts)

                 Warrant-Contempt of Court

      Rena Wilson was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court. Wilson was booked and incarcerated.

Wayne Clark, 46 years of age, Address- Lenny Lane Amelia, La. was arrested on 01/03/2019 @ 10:40 pm.

 Charge: Reckless Operation

   An officer on US Hwy 90 observed a vehicle traveling a high rate of speed that was faster than the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Wayne Clark. Clark was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
