The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 04/11/2014:

Tammy S. Fitch, 53 years of age, Address-Kidd St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/11/2014 @ 7:51am
Charge: Theft by Shoplifting (Value $4.04)

Charge: Theft by Shoplifting (Value $4.04)

Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 pharmacy in regards to a two subjects who were observed shoplifting. Officers arrived and located Laketra Mitchell and Tammy Fitch who were identified as the subjects and accused of taking cigarettes from the store without paying for the items. Both were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 with improper lighting and attempted to stop the vehicle to investigate. The driver of the vehicle proceeded to stop, then pulled away and left the scene. Officers were summoned and eventually stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Justa St. and Highway 182. The driver, Cierra Smith was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license, no insurance and a switched license plate on the vehicle. She was also found to possess items of drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana. She was arrested. A passenger, Dwayne Robertson was found to possess drug parphernalia and suspected marijuana. He was arrested. A third passenger, Gabrielle Derouen was found to possess items of drug paraphernalia. The three subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Jeffrey D. Fields, 47 years of age, Address-Patton St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/11/2014 @ 9:28pm
Charge: No License Plate Illumination; Driving Under Suspension

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting and stopped the vehicle to investigate at the intersection of Roderick St. and Railroad Ave. The driver, Jeffrey Fields was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license and was arrested. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jerald Francois, 23 years of age, Address-Everette St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2014 @ 2:18am
Charge: Warrant: Simple Battery of a Juvenile

Officers located Gerald Francois at the intersection of Sixth St. and Brashear Ave. and placed him under arrest on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Lectoria M. Grogan, 25 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2014 @ 3:13am
Charge: Warrant: Contempt of Court

An officer investigating a complaint came into contact with Lectoria Grogan near the intersection of Shannon St. and Terrebone St. Grogan was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department and arrested. She was transported to the Morgan City Jail facility where she was booked and incarcerated.

Ameedah Kenner, (Ameedah Charles) 29 years of age, Address-Idaho St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2014 @ 6:28pm
Charge: Warrant: Theft Under $500.00

Ameedah Kenner was located at the intersection of Idaho St. and Duke St. and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Destiny A. Dinger, 25 years of age, Address-Louisa St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2014 @ 11:23pm
Charge: Cultivation of Marijuana; Illegal Possession of a CDS in the Presence of Persons Under the age of 17

Officers were dispatched to a Louisa St. residence in regards to illegal narcotics activity. Officers arrived and during the investigation, discovered several small plants of suspected marjiuana being grown and cultivated inside the residence. During the investigation, the owner of the residence, Destiny Dinger was located and identified as the owner of the items. The item(s) which were located inside the residence were in close proximity to a small child also located inside the residence. Dinger was arrested and transported ot the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Luis Sanchez, 29 years of age, Address-Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/13/2014 @ 1:48am
Charge: No Driver License

A patrolling officer detained a vehicle in the area of the 200 block of Brashear Ave. and identified the driver as Luis Sanchez. Sanchez was found not to possess a valid drivers license and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Chistopher H. Gough, 42 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/13/2014 @ 9:26pm
Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

A patrolling officer observed a subject staggering in the area of Highway 182 and stopped the subject to investigate. The subject, who appeared highly intoxicated was identified as Christopher Harris. Harris was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
