MCPD Arrest Report 01/17/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 01/16/2019:
Austin J. Theriot, 23 years of age, Address-Andras St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/16/2019 @ 11:52 am.
Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
Careless Operation
Jessica B. Hue, 36 years of age, Address-Andras St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/16/2019 @ 11:52 am.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (3cts)

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Johnathon Priestley, 25 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/16/2019 @ 11:52 am.
Charge: Warrant-Probation Violation (3cts)
Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (3cts)
Possession of Sch III CDS-Narco
Officers responded to a residence on Onstead St. in regards to a vehicle running over an object in the yard. Officers arrived and made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Austin Theriot. Reports indicate that Theriot appeared under the influence of some type of narcotic. Theriot was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test in which he performed poorly. Theriot was placed under arrest. The passengers in the vehicle were identified as Jessica Hue and Johnathon Priestley. A warrant check on Hue and Priestley revealed that they held active warrants for the 6th Ward City Court. Priestley was found to be in possession of a pill identified as Narco. All subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. Once at the department, Theriot submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yield .000 g% blood alcohol content. A urine sample was taken from Theriot and those results are pending. All subjects were booked and incarcerated.
Sierra Garrett, 24 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/16/2019 @ 2:55 pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace-Offensive Language
Remaining After Being Forbidden
Officers responded to a business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and were informed by employees that an individual identified as Sierra Garrett was yelling profanities at another individual while inside the business. Reports indicate that Garrett was told to leave the property several times but refused. Officers made contact with Garrett and placed her under arrest. Garrett was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
