Chief James F. Blair reports that over the extended holiday weekend the Morgan City Police Department responded to 161 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 01/17/2019:
Chance Rose, 43 years of age, Address-East 12th Thibodaux, La. was arrested on 01/18/2019 @ 1:42 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial- Possession of Marijuana

Chance Rose was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Rose was booked and incarcerated.
Jeremy E. Gamble Jr., 20 years of age, Address-Elaine St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/182019 @ 9:20 pm.

An officer working security at Lake End Park conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Jeremy Gamble was asked to provide a valid driver’s license. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Savana White. A warrant check on White revealed that she held active warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. Both Gamble and White were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Brandy M. Parker, 33 years of age, Address-Lagonda Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/19/2019 @ 12:38 am.
Charge: Possession of Sch. I –MDMA (Ecstasy)
Josiah J. Parker, 25 years of age, Address-Lagonda Lane Morgan City, La was arrested on 01/9/2019 @ 12:38 am.
Charge: Obstruction of Justice-Tampering with Evidence
An officer in the area of Seventh St. and LA Hwy 182 observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Brandy Parker was asked to provide a valid driver’s license. During the course of the traffic stop, Brandy Parker was found to be in possession of pills identified as Ecstasy. Josiah Parker was identified as the passenger. Reports indicate that Josiah admitted to consuming suspected marijuana prior to the traffic stop. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Travis T. Singleton, 35 years of age, Address-Leona St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/19/2019 @ 8:12 am.
Charge: Warrant-Sexual Exploitation of Children
Travis Singleton was located and placed under arrest at his residence on Leona St. for an active warrant he held for the Chitimacha Tribal Police Department. Singleton was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Gerald W. Crooks, 57 years of age, Address-Gen. Hodges St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/19/2019 @ 2:28 pm.

Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language
An officer observed a vehicle parked partially in the roadway on LA Hwy 70. As the officer approached the vehicle an individual identified as Gerald Crooks got into the vehicle and tried to leave. The vehicle was stopped and Crooks began to yell and use profanities. A witness stated that he had brought Crooks back to the location to pick up the vehicle. During this time, Crooks continued to use profanities and was told to calm down but he refused. Crooks was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Lionel M. Scott, 19 years of age, Address-Eastern St. New Orleans, La. was arrested on 01/20/2019 @ 11:52 am.

Officers responded to a motel on Brashear Ave. in regards to individuals being in a room that was supposed to be vacant. Officers arrived and went to the room and were able to identify the individuals as Jamal Robinson, Jada Desira and Lionel Scott. Scott had given officers a false name, but later revealed his identity. Through the course of the investigation, suspected marijuana was found in the room along with drug paraphernalia. A computer check revealed that Lionel Scott was wanted out of Harris County in Houston, TX. All subjects were placed under arrest and transported the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Shelia M. Ruffin, 61 years of age, Address-Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, La. was arrested on 01/20/2019 @ 10:42 am.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines
Shelia Ruffin was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court.
Duane Sims, 32 years of age, Address-Martin Luther King Dr. Thibodaux, La. was arrested on 01/21/2019 @ 5:35 am.
Charge: Warrant-Contempt of Court (2cts)
Duane Sims was located on Brashear Ave. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the Thibodaux Police Department. Sims was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration
Raul M. Navarez, 56 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/21/2019 @ 4:27 pm.
Charge: Remaining After Being Forbidden
Officers responded to a business on Victor II Blvd. to remove an individual. Officers arrived and Raul Navarez was identified and the one involved in the disturbance. Employees of the business stated that Navarez was asked to leave several times. Officers made contact with Navarez and placed him under arrest. Navarez was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Damon M. Allen, 48 years of age, Address-Cross Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/21/2019 @ 10:04 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Revocation
Damon Allen was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic stop on Federal Ave. A warrant check revealed that Allen held an active warrant for the 16th Judicial District Court. Allen was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers responded to a residence on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Christopher Tibbetts was identified as the one involved in the disturbance. According to the victim, Tibbetts became upset and shattered the windshield of her vehicle. Officers were able to locate Tibbetts outside of the home and placed him under arrest. Tibbetts was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Michael A. Coleman Jr, 37 years of age, Address-Live Oak St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 01/22/2019 @ 2:26 am.
Charge: Driving Under suspension
Improper Lane Usage
Officers responded to US Hwy 90 East in regards to a vehicle that had gone into the wooded area. Officers arrived and located the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Michael Coleman. According to reports, Coleman stated that he had fallen asleep while driving and his vehicle veered off into the wooded area off of US Hwy 90. A computer check revealed that Coleman’s driver’s license was under suspension. Coleman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
