MCPD Arrest Report 01/29/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 33 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 01/28/2019:
Samantha Rowell, 40 years of age, Address-Keith St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/28/2019 @ 3:35 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Window Tint Violation
Possession of Sch I CDS-MDMA (Ecstasy)
Jesse Hart, 26 years of age, Address-Grandwood Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 01/28/2019 @ 3:35 pm.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
An officer in the area of Catherine St. observed a vehicle with obstructed window tint on the driver and front passenger side windows. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Samantha Rowell was asked to provide a valid driver’s license. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Jesse Hart and he was asked to exit the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Rowel was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, a pill identified as MDMA (Ecstasy) and drug paraphernalia. Hart was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both Rowell and Hart were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Robert M. Clause, 18 years of age, Address-Lesley Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/28/2019 @ 7:45 pm.
Charge: Simple Battery
Officers responded to a business on Victor II Blvd. regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived and Robert Clause was identified as the suspect involved in the disturbance. According to reports, witnesses stated that Clause approached one of employees, when that employee tried to walked away from Clause, he struck the employee in the facial area. Clause was located in the parking lot of the business. Clause was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Cassie Rankin, 29 years of age, Address-Faith St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/28/2019 @ 8:15 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)
Cassie Rankin was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Rankin was booked and incarcerated.
